Neither of us have PayPal accounts, BUT I know there is a Western Union at Winn Dixie in Belleview, FL. I have never worked Western Union, so I guess you just need the location. We are going to Adamist's house now to wait for another call. H

Sorry to hear about this... a shitty break indeed. :frown:
For those of you who would like to donate money towards a BAIL and/or legal defense fund, you may PayPal any amount you are willing to contribute to billing@shroomery.org.  This is informal, and has not yet been discussed with Adamist or anyone else involved, so please contribute at your own risk.  There are many Western Union branches in my area and as soon as Adamist contacts me with the appropriate bail amount and his nearest Western Union (can be found via the www.westernunion.com website), I will forward the money immediately.


Since I do not currently have the bail amount or the final destination for the funds, I will make every effort to post here as soon as I have been given said information, and the amount has been reached.  Until then, all contributions will be held by The Shroomery until further notice.

Just to be clear.... my previous post was NOT a flame.  It was a personal opinion... just as some are sad to see Shroomism arrested, I am not particularly saddned with it.  Just a clarification.

And to Geokills: watch out man, its dangerous ground to involve the Shroomery and its members in a bail out fund, especially when most here want to remain anonymous.  Involving the Shroomery is tempting fate IMO.

I understand you have a personal opinion, and are certainly entitled to it.. however it would show much tactfullness and respect, to have exhibited restraint in your vocalization of such negative thoughts during a time when many people close to Shroomism may already be upset.

With respect to The Shroomery acting as an intermediary for funds, let me clarify that this action is informal, and taken unilaterally by myself. The board of directors of the Shroomery and its parent, Mind Media, have not been involved with this procedure and it has been expressed in plain english that all those wishing to donate, shall be doing so at their own risk and cannot hold The Shroomery, its parent entity, or any of its managers liable for any and all damages or loss resulting directly or indirectly from any donations that we receive.

Well... to be clear in my statement, I beleive by using a shroomery email adress, and asking for donations that may or may not actually reach their intended destination, you are stepping on shakey ground. If this is a unilateral and informal collection to help a personal friend, it would seem most advisable to set this up privately and not involve those who do not want to be involved.... Shroomery members.

You misunderstand my point. Shroomery members expect anonymity and insulation here on this board. To be forced into a legalization group, or any "real-world" group, is certainly depriving this expectation. I just do not beleive personal interests should be mixed with the security and anonymity of members on this board.
