"I Know You Rider"
    #3223549 - 10/06/04 06:18 PM (12 years, 2 months ago)

I'm looking for the original version of "I Know You Rider".

I have heard that the first recorded version of the song was by Blind Lemon Jefferson under the name "You're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone" (supposedly he doesn't say "I Know You Rider").

I have heard that the first recorded version of the song using the words "I Know You Rider" was recorded by Judy Henske in 1963(titled "I Know You Rider" as well).

Anyone believe anything different to be true?

:wtf:

Anyway, I found some more info about the song for all of you guys interested.  Click here.

Apparently the song has gone by two other names as well, which should make tracking down the original even more difficult.

Blind Melon Jet Lag is the old blues singer Chong impersonates in some Cheech and Chong movie. It is one of their funniest bits I've ever seen.
