Which is the best, i'm interested in getting involved in a game like Everquest.


which is the best, Everquest, and which version, Anarchy Online, or should I wait for Everquest II or World of Warcraft?

Unless you have a shitload of free time do not play any.

I htink them games are evil, but id go with worlds of warcraft. Cuz im a war3 player and blizzard hasnt made anything but great games.

I personaly used to be big into Evercrack and am going to start back up wehn EQ2 comes out... I would say try EverCrack and if you likey then when EQ2 comes out try that man... I'll tell ya it a pain in the ass after like level 10 or soo... just my opinion... Sometime when I am not cocked and my comupter works I;ll help you out man PM me anytime and I can help you through Evercrack I have lots of books and maps and websites and stuff...

alakazam.com I think is the best site for weapon info and quest info and maps and stuff... tradeskills and whatnot are way easy, thee nothing... I'll help you man...

the newest version and everquest will never Die unless eq2 takes off like a bat out of hell and is hella fucking cool compareitively... really everquest will work on just about any computer that was good four years ago... it just wont be super fucking topnotch cool looking but my shitty laptop with crap vid card looks pretty cool witl the newest expansion...

only downfall was I couldnr be anyclass that didn't have nightvision unless I had a light of my own man witch isn't that bad as the class/race I played the most had that there night vision...

but I'll get more into it some other time unless this is interesting or swaying your vote  :grin:

i used to play anarchy online, that was a fun game...the shadowlands expansion is trippy and weird, too..

i'm waitin for WoW now though!

well I stay away from the graphical MMRPGs.. they suck me in too easily..

try Dragonrealms.. I was addicted to that game like crack for years.. its text based.. badass game..but I think they are charging monthly for it now :thumbdown:

I'd go to the dreaded best buy and ask the clerk for the newest expansion of everquest and if the pimple faced jackass doesn't know how to find what your talking about just start looking but it's bound to be there... if not try Amazon.com (as its not working for me to link to the game for you)


I'd say one of the best race/class combos is the Barbarian (barbie) shaman... or the Halfling druid or rogue orrrr the dwarf rogue (one of my faves)... all four are very newbie friendly... well I found them to be anyhow... they can solo well, you know like you just going off and kicking ass all by your onesome and when the levels get slow or you are tired of being alone they are very welcomed additions to most any group... they only compatition healing wise would be the cleric as they have more powerful health spells from the get go... but the shaman fits in very well as they start with damage over time spells (dots) and healing spells and they can kick some major bootay if equiped wit the right weapon... now damage wise (from the ones listed) the dwarf rogue deals a hell of a lot of damage from about lvl 6 on as long as you have a piercing weapon... I say there are WAY TO many combos for me to explain all the ups and downs of them all or even the ups and downs of the listed one... I put over two years into the game and had over 10 characters over level 14 and 3 over level 25 I've tried just about every race/class combo and suggest you try the same. at least one is bound to fit...  I'd play non PvP servers at first until you think you could handle it. but that is just IMO... I hope some of this helps I hope you are urged to try your hand at it and who knows I may join you in the near future... I'd love to know (if you start playing) what server you play on and what you go by. if I start we'll have to do a little hunting together... don't forget to check out some of the major sites for all the info I missed or you'd like elaborated on... http://allakhazam.com/ hint hint :wink: :wink:

Yea, Simutronics owns Dragonrealms, as well as Gemstone 3 which I was going to suggest.

I have played Gemstone 3 on and off for like 7 years.  Then I quit about a year or a year and a half ago and sold my character for $900.  So all in all it wasn't a bad run.  Gemstone 3 and DragonRealms (anything by Simu) is incredible.  You just need an imagination, typing skills, and your brain and you will be hooked.

Note: These games are SERIOUSLY SERIOUSLY addicting. :smile:

EverCrack IMO sucked... all you do is camp to level, etc.  Nothing really exciting about this game.

WoW should be wicked, but I doubt I'll ever play it.

Final Fantasy Online or whatever it's called I'm sure will be decent, but not worth my time.  I have mushrooms to cultivate now :smile:

Also, maybe check out Runescape before paying to play a MMORPG.  It's not too bad, but it's not overly fun either.

Dark elf cleric started him in like march of 2000 if any of you start eq start out on the luclin server and i'll hook ya up with gear/plat. Power level you to lvl 20 in a few hours and show ya the ropes.    :laugh:

I played starwars galaxies for about a year. It was great. It has a nice economics setup (purely player run) and a really nice PVP engine.

the expansion is coming out soon, where you can first person style fly spacecraft around and hav huge space battles and shit.

I really enjoyed shadowbane... it has the best pvp and guild system of any of the MMORPGs right now, IMO

plus, I was one of the top warriors in the most powerful guild on my server. I maxed out my fury and me and a group of the other high lvls would fly around the server (one of my spells) and swoop down to take out entire groups of enemies guild members... good times.

I used to be a old school Ultima player. If you like that kinda game you should play Shadowbane, or DAOC.

I used to play anarchy online as well but I stopped when my characters reached the max level. It's pretty fun nice graphics etc. You need to be damn good at maths to get anywhere though/.

Anarchy and ragnarok online are the best on the market. otherwise wait for one of the new ones.
