Help With Boadcasting Live talk-radio over the net

Hi guys,

A friend of mine has been interested in doing a live radio show over the net, and has asked me to see if I could help him find any info about some specifics..

For the most part, he needs to know what kind of microphone he should buy, something good quality but hopefully not costing upwards of an arm and a leg..

Would any specific type of soundcard be required/recommended?

Also, does anybody have any recommendations on the software he should get his hands on to do something like this? He is planning on conducting interviews over the phone, and would somehow need to forward the incomming audio into the outgoing stream..

Finally, does anybody know of any good websites that might focus on this type of thing?

Any pointers/comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated :smile:
