Just a stupid simple question

I have this fear of accidentally coming across a shroom patch or sumthin that somebody else has claimed already, or sumthin. An than they like cap me or sumthin. How cautious should I be about this. I'm talkin about "Not on Private Property" areas. Cause then when I do go out. It's not for long cause I get pretty paranoid at every noise I hear out in the woods. Even took the dog out walking to use that as an excuse if anyone asked what I was up to.

Finders keepers dude. Just because you "stumbled upon" a large fruiting of actives, and your obvious reaction was to harvest those fuckers, doesn't mean your stealing. No way, no how... Unless your tresspassing...

I wouldnt worry about it, you should be ok. As long as its not on private property.

Ive been questioned for my actions (walking around picking things up with a brown paper bag in my hand) and ill just tell them the truth - Im mushroom hunting. They have even asked to see the contents of my bad so i show them.

I dont think anyone is gonna "cap you" for picking mushrooms.
If you know ahead of time that it is someone else's patch then you might now want to mess with it.

Yea, getting capped is a huge risk you take when hunting actives in the woods.
So always remember to bring your piece, and strap on some chest plates.
It's a shame that mushroom pickers face such fatal threats.
But it adds to the thrill of the hunt i suppose! :P

It may seem hard to believe, but i can actually understand where your coming from.
From my experience, in Seattle highschools, there are a few scattered groups of wiggered out mushroom pickers, who will try to "claim" a certain park or something, just cuz THEY accidently found shrooms there. Whatever. i say fuck em'

RELAX!!!!!!! If you're already stressed before you pick anything. Then you won't enjoy the experience.
If you know someone else is picking the spot. Talk to them. Communication, is a good thing.
Don't let false fears control you.

Ok ok cool. There goes that phobia. lol But I still gotta deal with those snakes. "shudders" I came across 5 slithery serpents today. I won't give up though. I am bound and determined to seek out my first shroomz and nothing and no force shall stand in my way. well I don't know about that but I sure as hell am determined.

I may have already found some but keep repeating to myself, "when in doubt, through it out." Seeing how I have no experience. I've brought shroomz home with me, yet wasn't sure enough so just got rid of them.

a really secluded field that only i used to pick at;
the farmer had a few spots he must have built in the trees
for hunting i assumed, because he also placed a lot of
cages for trapping animals..

you-know, kinda makes you look up and study the trees
and look for hunting platforms..

i've been in fields like that before, and wondered,
in the middle of no-where, someone could very possibly
shoot you and f.ckin bury you in the woods lmao!~ :smile:

its a possibility..middle of nowhere, trespassing..

oh and also must not forget that story mjshroomer
always tells about two florida shroomers that were
shot by a copper, because they went back to a field
that the copper told them not to go on.
the copper was jailed for only several years and
released, and he killed two florida shroomers.

and also thousands of stories about florida shroomers
getting shot at with rocksalt.

I know that when kids are caught on our property, which is rare b/c they are sneaky and it's such a large farm, they get shot at with rock salt. I wouldn't worry too much though since most farmers and people with land that I know don't really have time to sit around looking for trespassers. Just be careful of electric fences! My family has a tendency to move them around periodically to catch the kids that get too comfortable with sneaking in! :smile: Good Luck!
