George W. Visits The Shroomery!

last night, The President of the United States came to my loft. he was kind of drunk, and in a good mood. he asked me, "Do i look Presidential?" I said "Yes Sir. Are you ready?" so we walked into my studio space, where there was a huge conference table, with about 40 Shroomerites sitting in front of laptop computers. GWB sat at the end of the table and i sat down in the only empty seat to his right. across from me to The President's left was a young woman whom I percieved to be Lana. Lana said "We are creating an account at The Shroomery for you, Mr. President." GWB said with a drunken grin "What is the subject of this meeting?" "Entheogenics." I said. As i was typing my Shroomery password, I looked at my hands and asked out loud "Is this a Dream?" as i said the word "Dream" a wave of lucidity swept across the scene, and i stood up shouting "OMG this IS a Dream, you are all just in my head!" everyone stopped what they where doing and just stared at me. just then, a good friend of mine, who is also a Shroomerite, said "Congradulations, You're Lucid!" and handed me a little wooden pan flute. so i started playing the most magical melody i have ever heard, and started walking clockwise around the table. all of the Shroomerites present got up and started walking around the table too, some of you had wooden drums, lutes, and flutes... the music was amazing. i remember saying to someone next to me, "this is happening because i quit smoking pot." (today is sober day 11) "this is far better than any high i have ever experienced." but i went Lucid because for the past month, in my Waking Life, whenever i look at my hands, i ask myself "Is This A Dream?" i would highly recommend the book titled, "The Art of Dreaming" by Carlos Castaneda to anyone interested in achieving Lucidity. ~

This may sound stupid, but what is Lucidy all about? do you think you could give a brief summery of the process of achieveing it?

That sounds GREAT! This is why I devote my time to learning to become lucid. This is exactly why.

well, it's about first becoming Aware of the fact that you are dreaming, and then being able to direct the scene and control the events in your dream. i only passed the "First Gate" which means i was Aware it was a dream, but i wasn't really in control of what was happening. i would say that Lucid Dreaming rates up there with a Level 4 Shroom Trip. but without all of the unpleasant side-effects... for more info do a search in the S+P forum, read the Castaneda book i recommended, and watch the movie called "Waking Life" oh, and if you smoke Cannabis... QUIT.

That sounds like real interesting stuff, dreams can be as intense as any shroom trip im sure, it would be interesting to find out the limits of them.

unfortunately, that is completely true... i have never been able to lucid dream while being a stoner, but when i've quit, i find it quite easy!

I dont even have dreams, or remember them rather while I'm smoking pot everyday... unless i smoke a bunch of cigarrettes, or take my sleeping meds. The only time i've achieved lucid dreaming has been an accident inside the dream, i've never been able to will myself as a fall asleep to have a lucid dream on command.

I was doing it all the time for a while man but I've gotten bored with having total control over my dreams so I like to stay borderline these days..
I stay passive until something very dangerous is happening or some really hot girl is getting away (;)) lol and I'll start FLYING.
Flying is the coolest thing ever and its so real in a dream even when you know you're dreaming.. Just last night I was being chased by these two semi-familiar assholes and they were in their car chasing poor Strumpling on foot. I figured ok fuck this man and jumped up really hard, shoving my arms down too like I were swimming - BAM I took flight Its kind of like chicken-flight most of the time where I can't stay in the air for too long, but sometimes I can just jet around wherever I wish
Oh I just realized these guys were chasing me in my dream because I had originally flown right up into their hotel room and taken some ice from their ice-thing..
This is all probably very uninteresting, so /end

flying seems to be the one ability i can always call upon in a dream, lucid or not. it's more of a super jump combined with a controlled hang glide down.
sometimes my entire dream is flying... usually over a forest or jumping down an infinite staircase.
i hate the knife dreams tho. i have a stupendous fear of blades and shit and i have dreams where people corner me and start cutting me up. it's always in an enclosed space so i can't fly away.

Oh and "everyone stopped what they where doing and just stared at me. just then, a good friend of mine, who is also a Shroomerite, said "Congradulations, You're Lucid!" and handed me a little wooden pan flute."
lol yes I have encountered many things like this.... for a moment sometimes the characters in the dream will just kind of stop their roles and look defeated. Usually though they snap back into it pretty quickly and try to distract me out of my lucidity, by pointing to the giant dinosaur behind me or by handing me a pan flute or something like that. Sometimes it will be successful and I will be sucked back into passive dreaming, but most of the time I stick with it and can do whatever I want, if I choose.
I've found total lucidity to be a bit boring because you're kind of just "predicting" everything that happens, where when you're not fully lucid, there are unexpected things happening still and things that can startle you or excite you or whatever :-D
One word though for you lucid dreaming guys: WOMEN. As soon as you realize you're dreaming, especially if you've never tried this before, summon some hot women slaves and have your way with them
Girls you can do it too, probably with men though?

"flying seems to be the one ability i can always call upon in a dream, lucid or not. it's more of a super jump combined with a controlled hang glide down." WOW dude exactly! Its usually just a kind of super-jump but sometimes I can totally just shove up again from mid-air and continue it, and on rare occasions I might as well be wearing a jetpack (oh thats a good lucid idea - "I summon my JETPACK!") because I could just float around anywhere, almost UNABLE to touch the ground even if I wanted. And with regards to blades, I rarely run into those kinds of situations, usually when I am in a threatening situation is is some big-ass dude or group of big-ass dudes ready to beat me up... Luckily I do not encounter many blades but now that I've been thinking about it in connection with dreams, it probably increases my chances thanks a lot punkass :-P heh I've noticed that in my dreams I am NEVER just like sitting around - I am constantly persuing something or something is constantly persuing me. Constant, semi-consistant activity man its so captivating!

I sometimes achieve good lucidity but don't remember much dreams these days. I have almost full flight control and can fly to insane hights. I'll fly out of my window over the city and land somewhere. I've also blown tonnes of bees out of my mouth like in the Mummy.Made electricity sparkle between my hands. And turned a man into a pack of cards Need to work on my dream recollection though. But keeping a dream journal is so hard. There are also some drugs that help dreamin, melatonin, calea and sinsinuchi or somthing like that..

oh yes! flying and having fun with unbelievably hot chicks or celebrities is the key of lucid dreaming
and added to the spiritual evolution you get from lucid dreaming, just makes it all worth... (even not having smoked weed since 2002)

I use to go lucid very often when i was younger. I remember flying as well. Just as you described it...like a super jump with glide down. If i was having a nightmare I would wake myself up...once i remember pouring a bucket of water on my head cus i was so scared running from something.
smoke too much pot now adays but what ya gonna do...

I will have to agree with Jinx in that smoking pot makes lucid dreaming and even simple dream recall extremely difficult for me.
I have been telling myself to quit smoking for quite awhile... I just might do it this time, thanks for reminding me of the dream connection.
(I used to lucid dream frequently, and recalled dreams with ease. Now it is extremely difficult. )
