ahhh I've wanted to sample the magic for some time now, but have not been able too! Cant grow em cause I live in college dorms, cant buy em cause no one here is selling and cant fine em even though ive gone on several expeditions over the past few months. I hope the cubies start showing up soon here in central cali, I think one good rain is all that is needed........

What part of central cali? I'm lookin' in silicon valley, to no avail. Still, there are a LOT of creeks around here, hiking trails, and tons of horse shit.

Im down in san luis obispo. there are actually a lot of cow fields around here. I have to fight back allergies (really bad for me) whenever I go out now though.

Well first off no Psilocybe mushrooms really fruit in horse shiut.

If they do it is extremely rare.

However Panaeolus subbalteaus in the spring and fall will grow in manured compost heaps and in rotted haystacks and ocassionally in cow manure.

Sometimes Copelandia species may appear in some traces of horse manure but not in the Pacific Northwest or in northern California.

The main habitat is in soil rich with fertilizers and /or in beauty-bark mulch in gardens and in bed boxes.



The shrooms grow from San Francisco North to British Colombia.
