I see the Shroomery becoming a cultural phenomenon.  Shroomery gatherings will be epic on a similar scale to that of Rainbow gatherings.  We'll throw our own massives and psytrance parties and concerts.  Or then again, we could still just be a message board.  Either way, the Shroomery r0xx0rs my b0x0rs! :thumbup:

In fifty years, the Shroomery will be a re-fueling station in orbit around Saturn's moon, Titan, and will be responsible for re-supply and re-fueling of terra-forming missions. Our cafeteria fare will, unfortunately, mostly consist of ganymede sea rat, but Moe will be back, as chief cook, and he'll figure out how to make some tasty dishes with it. Hello.jpg will indeed be an interactive hologram, and people will be able to play a virtual game of, "canary in the coal mine," with it. There will be many other wonders, but I don't want to spoil all the surprises...

Hmm good question. I could see it becoming some kind of a large cult. Where it gets to the point that the Shroomery hosts one gigantic festival and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger every year, but the people attending will always feel like they are apart of something special :smile:

It will definitley extend itself beyond the internet message board. I can see a point in time when someone mentions "Shroomery" they don't think of a message board, but of a huge gathering (or rather a string of numerous gatherings across the continent) in the middle of some forest where everyone consumes psychadelic drugs and has the time of their lives.

that raises an intereting point.

at some point, i hope we don't need the shroomery.
what if we could just casually talk about entheogens, cultivation, and our visionary experiences with anybody out in public without fear of being arrested or thought of as "a crazy drug person"? how radically would society have to change......?

OR, not to burst your bubble, it will just be a message board with lots of people.  OR in 50 years it will be shut down.

The Shroomery will have AOL-Time Warner logos embroidered all over it, with Virtual-reality chats, where you enter the Shroomery-interdimensionet a la' the Matrix.
The SkorpivoMusterion will own and run The Shroomery from afar in his castle on top of the mountain with his flying monkeys doing his bidding, including picking up hot Shroomerites and dropping em off in my lap.
