Beautiful pix! What substrate is that cluster growing on?
I have a Q for you: is the equadorian strain considered P. subcubensis? Do you have any pictures of wild P. cubensis or subcubensis from equador?

An interesting question.

Psilocybe subcubensis was identified by Guzman from Ecuador. However that does not mean theat Psilocybe cubensis is not there.

SInce only the original collection was identified from Eqcuador, more collections need to be properly identified to se if the other cubensis also grows in Ecuador.

AS of the moment, the species is most likely P. subcubensis.

The substrate in those images are decomposed buffalo manure.

GgreatoOne234,

Every image on this page you are referring to was positively identified by Dr. Gaston Guzman of the Instituto de Ecologia and one of the images was identified by Tjakko Stijve.

These specimens are on deposit in Mexico and at the Bishop Herbarium in Honolulu, Hawaii.

I believe some chemical analysis is listed on my article on shrooms in Thailand posted at my articles section of my shroom web-site.
