looks to me like some type of polypore in the Albatrellus family, we're gonna need more information and some more pictures to fully ID them.  read the forum rules.

those grow out of healthy strands of grass. I used to get fooled by those all the time. They have yellowish-greenish gills when really fresh. Leave em alone and they just get bigger. Its weird, I found some once that were fused with blades of grass, went back like two days later, and they were good sized local-cybe lookalikes. They had Glossy brown hoods, and a big ol white stem.

Dont waste your time with those, good news is, you got super fertile grass. Look around for beautiful bolettes.

Its impossible to give you an accurate ID with just your picture.

You could live in Alaska or Mexico for all I know.

Im guessing you live in the southern area of the U.S.? I dont know why, but, they look like old Chlorophyllum molybdites... which are DEADLY POISONOUS.

Even if they arent them...they aren't hallucinogenic nor edible.
