Hey, I'm doing the same thing. I have 12 jars going, and I'm going to birth them in this 30 gallon tupperware tub in my closet. I'm a packrat, so I told them the tub was for "storage" of all my crap. I'd say you could do what I'm doing, or look into outdoor teks. How mad can your parents get for seeing mushies' in the backyard? But then again, my dad owned a paraphenillia (sp) company in the seventies called "minds end", so thats why I don't really mind being caught

Go for it...just don't be pressure cooking when your parents come home...its hard to hide the smell of boiling grain, harder still to hide a 250 degree metal pot, harder yet to mask the incessant jiggling sound, and hardest of all to eat vermiculite when they ask what you made for dinner....;)
Keep it low...rubbermaid sounds good. do pf once with cakes, then buy a pressure cooker if you haven't already, and go straight to quarts with birdseed. spawn to worm castings. case with cocofiber or 50/50+, in a rubber maid with holes in the sides. keep under a bed, fan once in the morning and once at night. harvest massive flushes....Enjoy...

thanks guys,
so pressure cooking smells? What about BRF boiling in a pot?
The only thing I'm worried about is my parents getting to the mailbx before me, and finding my spores in the mail... I just ordered them, and all "should" be okay. If all goes according to plan, the shrooms will come on monday-thursday, when my parents are at work. My mom doesn't work friday, so I plan on staying home from school that day, just in case. Hopefully, neither of py parents decide to stay home in the next couple of weeks. But even if they find the spores, maybe they wont actually open the package. Fuk, they better not, invasion of privacy!
Sorry for my rambling on about my paranoia, I sent the money order, nothing I can do now. So I will soon be growing, hopefully no one will find them, but if they do, I'm just going to tell them the truth: "These are psilocybin mushrooms, mom and dad." Oh shit, will they ever be pissed. Wish me luck!
Oh yeah, I was thinking of maybe doing the hippie "neglect" tek, since I could hide the jars all over my room.
And one more thing... Growing outside sounds good, but does anyone know where I can find an outdoor tek? I've seen many teks, but none of them for the great outdoors... Am I not looking hard enough? Thanks...
