it's a growth hormone, not every Dairy farm uses it but a large majority do... there may be links to cancer, it may also be responsible for overly developed pre-teens (seems to affect girls the most)

The FDA refuses to do any research on it claiming that the hormone doesnt 'trickle down' through meat or through milk.

now you just hold on a cotton pickin minute..

WHERE THE PROBLEM WITH OVERLY DEVELOPED TEENS>!?!?!

That's just the human side of the story. The drug itself does horrible things to the cows. Some animal rights groups are claiming it puts the cows through a large amount of pain and unnecessary medical complications.

Pretty nasty stuff, if you ask me. The FDA still claims it doesn't pass into the milk? WELL HEALTH CANADA DID THEIR OWN STUDY AND YES, IT DOES PASS INTO THE MILK AND THEN INTO HUMANS!!!

keep in ming that food produced in the US is considered unfit for consumption ans many countries and even a poison in others, we also require the strictest testing for every product unless there are giant kick backs made to key officials... there seem to be a great deal of products that are known carcenogens that are claimed to be safe by the US

I've drank 4L of milk in one day and it didn't upset me. Mmm, nothing better than coming home on a hot day and downing a shitload of milk. Brrr, yummy stuff.

Soy milk's really good as well! Good stuff. Not so great for slamming though, that's why they invented skim milk.

I had a glass of Milk last night during dinner. I was asked for any kind of drink (besides alcohol....at the point of time) and I asked for Milk. It was good, i don't drink milk much at all, mostly chocolate milk cause it's around for my little sister a lot.

I like soy milk for the flavor but I dont care for it's consistance as a milk substiture... plus you (occasionaly) do pretty bad thing when you injest soy products... it really no healther than whole milk.

If it's organic soy milk and you're not allergic to it, what is the problem? I think it's the pesticides that are teh problem.

I always use soy.  It's more convieniant because it doesn't spoil nearly as fast as milk.

Hmm.

The 8th Continental Soy Milk that I've drank in the past always had a disclaimer on it stating:
It is best to drink this within 7 (or so) days after opening.

Perhaps they just like to put pressure on customers to drink fast, leading to faster purchases.. ?
