LEGOS were the shit, still are in my opinion....i still have a huge box full of em...and i find as i grow older, my interests havent changed much...i hope some day to be in a lab, putting chemicals together like they were legos :grin:

Back in the 60's we didn't have real good toys. (OR were too poor to afford good ones. I was born in`64)
I had lossa tonka trucks, a bunch of matchbox cars, tons of board games and a bike. I remember building a shitload of models but most met with flaming or explosive ends.
I remember the original GI Joe figures (big, 10" suckers) but they too, probably got blown up with M80's or the black powder I would steal from my pops.

Ninja turtles, Robocop action figures with the cap gun built into the back, teddy ruxpin, NES, legos, ghost busters, transformers, those robot guys that punched eachother's heads off, super soakers were cool til weird people started carrying em around and spraying people with their piss and jiz... Ummm... micro machines, nerf, game boy, spiderman action figures, hot wheels, godzilla figures, slip and slide, those little popping rubber things that you turn inside out and they pop and sometimes stick to the ceiling... Creepy crawlers... heh... shit... i dunno... i could go get the boxes out of storage and be entertained for a few days...

My favorite toys were the ones with screws I could remove and with lots of strange little gizmos inside that I could pull out and examine.

As a side note: most of my toys didn't last very long....at least not in one piece.

The "Adventure People" series of toys by Fisher Price were my favorites. I wish I had all my old toys back. These things are collectors item now.

Fisher-Price....that just gave me chills.

Once on a high-dose of Salvia I turned into the paint on the corner of a Fisher-Price toy man's mouth. His mouth was closing, signaling the end of all existence:

You would program it on the keypad then it would run your program (i.e. move forward 10 feet, rotate 45 degrees left, fire laser 5 times, rotate 180 degrees right, move forward 5 feet, dump cargo,...).  If you were good, you could program it to cruise around the whole house.

I still remember how much I wanted that toy for christmas and how happy I was when I saw a box that was just the right size sitting under the tree.  :laugh:
