I passed out on a street in the middle of a fair when my brother and I were sucking balloons of helium to make our voices change. I was something like 8 and just remember waking up on the ground surrounded by adults. My brother was 6 and yelling "get up!".

My parents were out partying or doing some other shit and we were just dropped off at the fair by ourselves.

Closest I got was air duster.
Used to rush early to math class with the crew in HS cause the teacher was the only one that didn't keep it locked up.
I only ever hit it a few times, I preferred my pills back then.

Just made me feel way too drunk.
I tent to prefer a more conscious euphoria.

My son has long hair too, and so did I...

Now I'm just a sad old skinhead

Must admit though, I'm 39 and most people think I'm younger too. Probably mostly based upon behavior lol

You too? I used to have long blonde hair but then the trimmer spoke to me... The only issues for me is that I look like an absolute neo Nazi due to my Scandinavian looks:lol: but it's so comfortable and easy to just trim the head pubes.

I'm 33 but people always assume I'm either much younger or that I'm much older than 33...:uhoh:

But yeah I look like a total nazi too. Especially in work gear. I actually didn't look that bad with long hair, but after the Great Trimming...

Life's an uphill march lol

Ugh. I am bald and have huge chops. If I don't wear a hat I look like a skinhead. When I wear a hat backwards I look like a proud boy. On a positive note people say really fucked up shit to me thinking I share their philosophies and I know who the crazy racists are pretty quickly.

Scary shit man. I saw a buddy take a hit directly off a can of duster when we were teenagers and he "forgot how to breathe", then yaks up all this clear shit. Very dangerous to take a direct hit without a container. Know what you're doing if you are gonna do it for sure.

My only ego death experience in my 20+ years of psychedelic use occurred on acid and nitrous.

I was just doing hit after hit of nitrous (alone), giggling away, thinking, "Wow, this is just as good as any hard drug put there!", when suddenly it was just lights out. I have no memory, then "wake up" in my bed, but recognize nothing.

I sat there for who knows how long thinking, "Why am I in this room, and why is this music playing?" When I realized, this is my room, the question was forced, "Wait, who are you? Oh, you're Toe_Jam!!"

Then my life flashed before my eyes as they say. Immensely powerful.

Haven't touched it since.

Respect is deserved for sure.

Here's some ego death for you. Hoisted my mower in a tree yesterday to change the drive belt. It's still there cuz the hoist won't go down.

My grandad was your "I know a guy" mechanic and worked out of a shed he built on our property.

We had a massive oak tree he hung a couple chain wenches off of to lift engines out of the vehicles he worked on.

This sparked that memory.

"shade tree mechanic" - The most industrious mechanical engineers I have ever had the privilege to learn from.

I regularly find myself over complicating solutions, but I bring a case of beer to some shade tree mechanics and stumble away with a working prototype or solid plan to execute!

Psa.

Don't do nitrous well sitting on a toilet.

This is how I almost killed myself. I was sitting on the toilet. Doing nitrous.

I passed out.  All my body weight leaning forward.  I fall dead weight onto my face.    Smashing my nose into the hard tile  floor.

The Extremely Loud crash and thumping sound of me basically body slamming my face  directly into concrete. Is what I heard I as i was regaining consciousness.

In a puddlebof blood nose all mangled and broken...

I wasn't so much pain and so confused it took me another 30 seconds to realize what the fuck it just happened period all I remember was being on the toilet everything going black and then me hearing what sounded like a bomb bean dropped On my house.  (the very loud crashing sound of my body slamming into the floor. ).

In fact I've never told anybody this before. I was too embarrassed..

Anybody who knows me believes I broke my nose that day by slamming the back hitch door the to my suv  in my face. While becoming distracted closing it.

I'm lucky to be alive. I was like surely if something was going to fracture my nose bone and send it flying into my brain.  instantly killing me.. it would have been that.

spent about 20 years working on a tree farm/nursery/greenhouse business. For sure, there were decent years when a "real" Mechanic or electrician could be paid to repair Things, but most of the time, we had to do it ourselves. (Or at least take a crack at it)

Nowadays we have the internet to help, but back then man, we had owners manuals or nothing at all.

So being broke is really the way you get good at things. I invented all the greenhouse envoronmental controls myself Because the commercially availabale units cost thousands. Ive invented seeding systems, cloning systems, tractor implements, trailers.  I developed the irrigation system which involves a 3 phase VFD and a 10hp pump. I use the same mercoid switch i used on the automated pc i developed that i still use all the time. I was too broke to buy an autoclave so i made my presto do the same job.

Sometimes the cartoon in your head goes just like you imagined and sometimes, you get your mower stuck in a tree lol.

Ldk it looks like chain lift is bound up bc of the angle. might have to get some blocks under it and get tension off it lol?
Good gravy i could see quite a few ways to get hurt.

Yeah I tried lifting the front with one hand to relieve tension, and pulling the chain with the other hand. No dice. Apparently this is fairly common problem with chain hoists.

I ran a piece of galvanized tent pole as a steering linkage on that IH330 for probably a month before it bent out again and I had the coin to buy the real part. Innovation is king on the farm.

Ladysknight, I bet rolling it forward and tossing some sort of block behind the rear wheels would lift that front end up a bit and relieve tension/take the weird angle out of the chains

Like Beef says, I really enjoy the innovative aspect of being poor. The property we bought came with a dump that's been used for like a hundred years. I call it my resource pile. I have made a lot of cool stuff from that pile. Including a flushing toilet in the middle of the woods for a Halloween party. The ladies loved it.

Then taking a inhale n waking up in 10 minutes everyone thinking I had a stroke or some shit :uhoh:

Definitely don't recommend and I have no clue what all that did for the lungs at the time / still don't lol.  Terrible idea don't do it....

Ya i hate them chain winches.  Used
Them a lot when i was a stage hand/rigger.  Wish i could
Help you.  You know whats wrong but you need an extra set of hands.  They work good if theyre vertical.

Maybe put a bottlejack agaisnst the tree and see if you can push the winch itself out to get the tension line straight? Lol i dunno.  Maybe just wait till you can get one of your buds to lend a hand
