Acton's mother fled with her stepfather, as he was absconding on the rape charges, and from what I understand, protected him from facing legal consequences.

Vivek Ramaswamy first put this ad out anonymously. He didnt include the "Paid for my Ramaswamy for governor" or whatever they are required to put on campaign ads, and it only came out later.

President Trump, of course, fully endorses Vivek. Trump has never seen a child rapist he didn't like, and of course, he has no problem with the utterly filthy tactics that Vivek has decided to use, in this last minute desperation move, that will hopefully cost him the race...

Just another demonstration that the Republican party has no class whatsoever, and really are just gutter trash.

they think a person should still be loyal to family even after sexual abuse.

It’s sick but we see in our society all the time. These republicans really just don’t get it.

I don't think or find that ad particularly evil or top 10 worst slander this year alone.
You can be upset about the top republicans double and triple down on their ad. But it's just an ad. I've seen ai ads accusing of a candidate of leading rape gangs still as they were running.

Sexual assault has always a complexity when the subject is tackled.  Even here on shroomery I'm pretty sure one of our members didn't believe a political firgure being raped picking up her campaign sign. Make a whole thread about it.

You live in a whole that accepts a world leader who had his ways with little girls. People might care but nothing has happened or will happen to him. You can't have rose tinted glasses and believe as a society actually care about victims as a whole.


Besides those crimes her family did came with criminal convictions with jail time.  So legally justice under the law was served. Her family saying she a lying person or evil really is a weak ad politician anyway.

I suppose this is probably true also, in many cases, but I think Republicans just don't care at all about sexual abuse, unless maybe if it happened to their own daughter, but not if that fact somehow inconvenienced them...

That clip of Trump cutting off the reporter and just trashing her for even mentioning the sexual abuse... To them it's just not a factor, period... unless of course it furthers their agenda...

CrAcKbAbY has no problem voting for all of these pedophiles and rapists, but he will rant and rave for days about all of the rapes that supposedly happened on Oct 7th.

... And that is the only sexual abuse he will ever mention. No time for the systematic sexual and physical abuse the IDF commits daily against Palestinian men, women, and children in their military prisons, where they hold people without charge for months to years.

We live in a society, in which wealthy people are not subject to any sort of criminal justice. They may have to fork over some money occasionally, but you will never see a billionaire go to prison for crimes they have committed in America, for the most part.

Still, I don't have to accept that we have a multi-tiered justice system, and I also don't accept people molesting children, whether or not they are wealthy.

You clearly don't understand the problem here, and to the best of my knowledge, her step father never did do any time for it. He fled, and her mother helped him.

I don't know, I guess a lot of people aren't terribly shocked or offended by the horrible thing Vivek has done to this woman, but it really struck me as something uniquely awful.

It's probably the most vile political attack I have seen, in recent memory. What an awful thing to do to someone, and he knew it was quite awful, which is why he didn't even own it, when he started distributing the ad.

... Just dispiccable.

Can you summarize what's so awful about it? I legitimately wasn't interested enough to watch the ad. But if my parents said something about me, parents that I've purposely excommunicated, why would I give af? They might as well have gotten Acton's 4th grade teacher to pass judgement on them.

The real low is that American politics can still be decided by advertisement. Fuck policy, did you hear what her mom said about her?!? This country is absolutely retarded.

The fact that Vivek Ramaswamy gave a megaphone to her abuser to cast doubt on the facts surrounding her abuse... particularly given the humiliating nature of that abuse (being repeatedly raped by her step father).

Well, that is sort of my point. This is the absolute trashiest way to campaign against someone. Surely, Vivek isn't trying to win on his merits, or policy positions.. he's trying to win by not only attacking his opponent but doing it in the sleaziest most bad-faith (Because he knows that the mother is actually the liar, and also the worst kind pf human being) way imagineable.
