Amyl is playing an outdoor gig in St Kilda which is a beautiful space. Hopefully it's nice weather in March. It usually is warm.

I'm starting to get better with triple layer sectioning for using the microtome at work for making microscope slides. You need to keep those paraffin embedded tissue blocks ice cold or the heat produced by the blade will compress your sections.

I'm also getting better with making pretty paraffin tissue ribbons.

In histology, you cut very thin sections of paraffin embedded tissue between 2-10 micrometers, depending on the tissue type and stain to be performed.

I got a free samples from two different companies that I ordered from today.

From spices for less I ordered a pound of my yearly saline cinnamon sticks and they gave me a free sample of some Smoky habanero seasoning.

I ordered some facial moisturizer that I love from a company that uses Dead Sea minerals, and they gave me a free container of some eye cream that I'm probably never going to use but it's pretty cool I got free samples from two different companies at the same time.
