Re: Lost and Found [Re: Blue Cthulhu]

I was thinking something of this, finger pointing at the air.

Quote:
92. Vayu (air) is imperishable. It is one, indivisible. It exists in everything.

For your post I found this, these from the Chidakash Gita.

Quote:
111. SAT is the one, indivisible. It is the one 'subtle' which is everlasting. CHIT is always changing.

Sat we'd think of as existence, Chit the consciousness. Sat in this case I considered as Turiya. So existence is Turiya, and so is the air.(?) Yogis love the breathing stuff.
Manas here I'll take as worldly, bodily, or as Ramana puts it, 'promiscuous' mind. Buddhi, not sure, the light or clear one.

Quote:
7. Manas is Jiva; but their positions are different. Jivatman is Paramatman.

8. A man or woman should be educated. What is education? Jiva should know the secret that He is the Paramatman.

9. Paramatman is in Jivatman. The real Mukti is to know the subtle in the gross.

23. Buddhi is the king. Manas is the minister. Manas should be subordinated to Buddhi.

57. 'This world' means Jivatman. The 'next world' means the union of Jivatman and Paramatman.

77. Swami is he who has united the Chit with Sat. Upadhi means the tree of peace. We must take shelter under this 'tree of peace'.

My manas today was going cheese, CHEESE! But Buddhi is going, the tree, the TREE!

Chit with Sat then is Upadhi. I love this. What does it mean? Objects are Self, or empty of self that distinguishes them.

I thought there were posts about this before, as it is strange that Upadhi means imposition or limitation, and also means this union and peace. It also can mean a vehicle for liberation. I suppose it is an imposition as we are bringing manas in with buddhi. Bring your ignorance with, to the light.

The Maharaji movie was in some Indian dialect and with subtitles. There was chanting going on and I remember seeing something like, put or hang all your misdeeds on Ram. So we bring our caravans to Ram.

Great jewels of wisdom!

Quote:

Where was I reading recently about a sign of attainment, of being able to appreciate all the experiences one could possibly have. Of course relating to freedom from the distinction between “good” and “bad.”

But I was also imagining what it would be like to be tortured and then murdered by a serial killer. What an experience that would be, huh. Maybe folks like horror films, like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, as a way to imagine possible experiences, really stretch the mind out to its limits.

Cheese could be a point of meditation, most certainly. In the 3rd grade, I started the “I like cheese club”, and it was very popular, had good energy

Quote:
Those who attempt to heal without being wholly joyous themselves call forth different kinds of responses at the same time, and thus deprive others of the joy of responding wholeheartedly.

Depending on what is meant by attempting to heal so as not to try it I guess before suited, but even though the joy may be whole, jiva is much of the time not wholly joyous here. As the healing if given must be joy perhaps it shouldn't be too much of a concern.

Unless we are to resign ourselves from trying to heal. I suppose internally can be a practice field, but where else do we heal, and who does not heal? A saint or someone might be out there giving sight to the blind and raising the dead. Are we included in that?

Quote:
To be wholehearted you must be happy. ²If fear and love cannot coexist, and if it is impossible to be wholly fearful and remain alive, the only possible whole state is that of love. ³There is no difference between love and joy. ⁴Therefore, the only possible whole state is the wholly joyous. ⁵To heal or to make joyous is therefore the same as to integrate and to make one. ⁶That is why it makes no difference to what part or by what part of the Sonship the healing is offered. ⁷Every part benefits, and benefits equally.

Natural state then is joyananda. Oh there's a hack. If not wholly joyous, not making oneness. Talked about is the drain of energy. The oneness affirmation and effect proves the weight of maya is in our projection.

I had a flash vision this morning of the sushumna, the central nadi, Shiva's pillar I suppose, bright and limitless, the energy as much as visual. Our bodies are said to be universes, within more than the physical universe.

Quote:
In the heart verily is Jivātma. Here, a hundred and one nāḍis arise. For each of these nāḍis, there are one hundred nāḍikās. For each of these, there are thousands more. In these Vyâna moves.
Through one of these, the Udâna leads us upward by virtue of good deeds to the good worlds, by sin to the sinful worlds, by both to the worlds of men indeed.

Vyana and Udana are of the five pranas

Quote:
In the space outside the Meru, the right apart from the body placed on the left and the right, are the two nadis, Sasi and Mihira. The Nadi Susumna, whose substance is the threefold Gunas, is in the middle. She is the form of Moon, Sun, and Fire, even water also; Her body, a string of blooming Dhatura flowers, extends from the middle of the Kanda to the Head, and the Vajra inside Her extends, shining, from the Medhra to the Head.

Quote:
Shashi–Mihira and Ida–Pingala are the same pair of yogic channels, named in different ways. In this context, Shashi (“moon”) refers to Ida, the lunar channel, and Mihira (“sun”) refers to Pingala, the solar channel. Ida is traditionally placed on the left and associated with cooling, receptive qualities; Pingala on the right and associated with warming, active qualities. They flank the central channel, Sushumna.

I wonder if each mini nadika leads to another, distinct being. Like maybe one of my nadikas leads right to syncro, and another to my mother, and so on.

Interesting the statement about some leading to good worlds or sinful worlds… sounds like we are all inextricably connected to all worlds. Maybe better to make peace with that fact, and forgive the “sinful” worlds, than to try and choose one over another.

I was listening this morning to Ram Dass and took note of him talking about the gunas, and sattva being “the golden chain.” Here’s ai’s take:

Quote:
In yoga philosophy and the Bhagavad Gita, the "golden chain" refers to Sattva, the highest of the three gunas (fundamental qualities of material nature). While the other two gunas bind the human soul like cheaper metal chains, Sattva binds the soul with a beautiful, seductive chain of gold.

The meta-analogy explains how all three universal energies keep a person bound to the cycle of material existence (prakriti):

• Tamas (The Iron Chain): Binds the soul through ignorance, darkness, laziness, and delusion. It pulls consciousness downward.

• Rajas (The Silver Chain): Binds the soul through passion, fierce activity, ambition, and endless desires. It keeps consciousness locked in a restless middle existence.

• Sattva (The Golden Chain): Binds the soul through an attachment to knowledge, virtue, peace, and spiritual happiness.

Why is Sattva considered a "chain"?

Sattva is pure, illuminating, and full of light. However, it remains a chain because it causes the ego to attach itself to its own purity. A person dominated by Sattva might think, "I am a peaceful person," "I am wise," or "I am spiritually superior." This attachment to being happy, calm, or knowledgeable still creates a boundary between the individual ego and absolute spiritual freedom.

The Ultimate Goal: Transcending the Chains

To reach true liberation (moksha), a practitioner cannot simply stay comfortable in the golden chain of Sattva. According to the Gita, one must use Sattva as a springboard to climb out of Tamas and Rajas, and then ultimately transcend even Sattva to become Trigunatita—one who has risen completely above all three modes of nature.

Trigunatita, love the discoveries of terms.

This ties to the psychic knots where the sattvic chain would be I think brahma granthi, the high binds like attachment to siddhi.

Sattva the golden chain to follow - the chain is refined into the fruition.

I like that idea, matches my experience too. Working with the knots, the process itself produces the liberation/transcendence. Then the knots are re-seen, no longer as obstacles but as bridges
