Levomepromazine and psilocin

How long does one have to discontinue levomepromazine to get back the full effects of psilocin? The levomepromazine has been prescribed for insomnia and replacement for it actually existed before that already, which is sirdalud + quetiapine. The psilocin acted as a good always working antidepressant for my wife but levomepromazine seems to block it's effects entirely. Google bot says 3-6 days but we try to keep that as short as possible but as long as needed.

I would highly recommend not discontinuing any sort of antipsychotic to trip on mushrooms.

You didn't even bother to read after the first sentence. The antipsychotic is not for psychotic disorder treatment but for insomnia and different but also working medication scheme was already in place before. The switch happened because the chronic use of sirdalud is worse to the liver than levomepromazine.

At least it fixed my sleep though. I don't have to take it anymore (psychiatrist agrees - the less the better) As for my wife - she had a pretty big brain tumor that f-ed up her sleep and many other things so bad that she just can't sleep without medication. She has even been on rohypnole at some point, but that's nasty stuff.

The medications you mentioned are way worse on the patient than Rohypnol in most cases. Rohypnol is a cupcake in comparison.

Sorry to hear such heavy illness afflicted your wife. Why are you on Levomepromazine instead of a benzodiazepine?

Is your doctor a very old republican?

The psychiatrist is an old soviet school doctor. Lot's of actual looney bin practice. But he actually cares about the patients, he fights for them to get on disability when they need it. With me he said I can take levomepromazine when ever needed and how much is needed and so I don't need it anymore and I don't take it and only need one small quetiapine in the evening.
