Do you mean a yoga nidra type technique? ,(focusing on group of muscles one at a time)

I absolutely hate yoga nidra, I don't have the patience to do it, I've tried a few times

Anyways my issue is I had to get up at 2:30 not that I had trouble  falling asleep, I used to have issues with falling asleep, but I sleep sort of well these days most days

No, I just meant training yourself on when you fall asleep. I have actually gotten down to falling asleep at 9:30 but am recently training myself to stay up later to match a friend's schedule as I will be moving in a month or so.

Edit: yeah....if you HAVE to get up at that time then I'd suggest building your sleep schedule around that as that would probably be best on your body 👍 (sleeping also plays a role in digestion, you gotta balance everything)

I know its difficult to grasp the higher lessons of will...but perhaps one day, with much stretching of the muscles and tendons, you too can unlock the secrets within.

It takes more willpower to be a drug addict than it does to be sober. Addicts take it upon themselves to defy the laws of God and society, knowingly prepared to suffer the repercussions of that choice.

Sobriety is the path of least resistance. It requires the minimal amount of willpower. That is why the most effective maxims of recovery emphasize the necessity of surrendering one’s thoughts and relinquishing the will to that of the “program” and “higher power”. 

Drug addicts are prepared to lose everything in pursuit of their own ends. They are lions among men. Godlike, one might say.

Existing in the world as it is sober requires far more willpower than it does to take compounds to make yourself feel like you don't give a shit.

Most people aren’t whining about “existing in the world” and supposedly fighting an urge to obliterate the reality of it with substance abuse. If that were the case, drug addiction would be the norm. Sobriety is the default state of consciousness and members of the general public who refrain from drugs are not paragons of willpower. They simply exist. Temptation is a matter of willing; acting upon a prohibited temptation is even more so. You disagreed with my opinion and then said it’s not unpopular.
