Lolol, letting oneself go always coincides with repeatedly shutting down advances.

In women that is. Men (unjustifiably, let's be clear) tend to go in for it despite letting themselves go usually.

The most important thing here that I missed is she made a promise to lose weight and didn't deliver on it.

That alone is enough to discourage someone from putting in the effort because everyday she doesn't even try and everyday she tried and felt nothing positive because she is behind and has a long way to go is preventing the benefit of working out. The discipline and consistency of enjoying it rather than the end goal. The act of working out effectively and with the mindset of knowing what you're doing or having a personal trainer that does allows someone to enjoy it in my opinion.

I'm still not back into it because whenever I start again, I do where I left off and require 3 weeks recovery because the enjoyment takes over.

She needs a personal trainer at home or something.
