I mentioned I live in damp rather moldy environment in the post above so indeed your question would have been answered that’s why I opted for outdoors.

So I have the colonized jars . the mono-tubs courtesy of my roommate vermiculite an coir.



I will start one monotub with this jar:

And maybe a small something with this jar due to the suspicious blue/green spot which by the way has not grown at all since i first noticed it but i will not be mixing the jars.



Even though my guts telling me it’s just bruising:

Also tommorow I will be pc ing a bag an maybe a couple mason jars of brown rice to be inoculated with my roomates penis envy hybrid lc.

Got my still air box and syringes.

Tomorrow night which is morning for most of you folks I will begin to document and log the mono-tub project.

Bro take risks love your life mushrooms are truth and sometimes you need to break rules for a good cause and we have San Pedro growing all over the backyard and the landlord has no clue we turned his junkyard backyard into an oasis so he is on very good terms with us

Anyways tonight the monotub will be done with the larger jar and we may also do a smaller tub or something with the smaller jar that is either bruised or mold

You got multiple grows in multiple different fruiting areas, which is awesome.

Did you end up checking the outdoor patch or are you just gonna wait to see if there's a flush? I think if you find some mucelium growth in the patch, it should give you a boost of confidence and you can think about putting together a Stealth Harvest Tek

I was walking today and saw about 20 tiny mushrooms growing in the base of a dead tree stump which was hollowed out, you wouldnt by chance have any hollowed out dead tree stumps that you could spawn to in your area?

It's a good thought but those tree stump mushrooms are generally wood decomposers or tree parasites, neither of which are like cubes.

Best analog to what a cube wants would be a pile of very nutritious compost or manure.

Here’s a little update my roomate suggested we do an experiment with the two fully colonized jars which where admittedly done in less than ideal sterile technique.

He suggested we do something called shoebox tek.

Now we pasteurized the ratio of Verm coir and he suggested gypsum so I listened.

I had two jars ready to go a big one which seemed the least likely contaminated.



And the smaller one which was either showing slight bruising or mold. In a small isolated spot.




So we obviously did two separate shoeboxes when we opened the smaller jar and started mixing there was not strong mushroomy smell which my roommate pointed out as a possible red flag.

The big jar however had obvious strong smell of mushrooms.

So who knows what will happen in the meantime they are staying dark in the closet except for this one quick pic

I have my reasons and there’s no point to go into detail.
But I do realize I am stressed and life is breaking me down and the ego is doing a lot of the damage.

Which is why I need so badly for this to work so I can have reliable source of medicine which I know from experience at least for a period of time following an experience which I plan to do monthly gives me the relief and healing I so badly need.

So yeah it’s urgent!

So I finally decided to go look at the outdoor patch:


Keep in mind we water all the plants in the garden at night so if it appears dry it is on the surface.

So I decided NOT to dig in the patch which is probably about 8 inches deep.

Instead I moved away some leaf litter and lifted some rocks to see any signs of mycelium.

And I believe I did boys! Which keep in mind this is at the surface imagine what’s going on below!

Would love to know people’s thoughts as to whether they believe it is mycelium or not.



Also those little brown pellets are the dung collected from the gazelles in the valley.

Thats definitely mycelium. The leaves seem like the perfect bed to keep the moisture high. Maybe put a light layer of grass clippings on the mycelium as a casing layer. Give it time and in the rain season you should be golden. Good Luck đź‘Ť
