Do you like finding cool Rocks and Crystals in the wild? I just found an incredible new project being funded and developed by a single person. imineralogist.org it's basically a clone of the social platform inaturalist but for rocks, fossils and gems, you can post photos and information about specimens you have observed in the wild and the community helps ID and comments on them.

An observation map also just like inaturalist so you can see where different things are occuring near you.

Its brand new. So there really aren't very many users, content or people who know about it but the idea and structure of the website is awesome and one of a kind for this sort of thing so spread the word!!

Can be used in the browser, or downloaded from the apple app store. The android app was just submitted and should appear in the Google play store in the next few days too. My name is the same there as it is here bio_alchemist looking forward to seeing the cool rocks y'all have found!!
