Is this millet not millet?

Hey,

I wanted to try out millet since reading all the pros of it (previously used wheat and barley) and I am wondering if I bought wrong millet? It's called proso in my small Slav country and I bought a large bag directly from farmer, so I hope this will work for grain spawn somehow.

I poured boiling hot water over millet, let it soak for 30 mins, drained it a bit and loaded the jars with millet still wet, pressure cooked 7 jars at 15psi, 90 mins. Shook it immediately as the pressure dropped and the millet is still rattling/undercooked/hard, some look burst.

What do I do with these jars and how do I prep rest of the millet? Maybe it'll work if I soak it for 12 hours, simmer and dry as I would with wheat?

Sure looks like millet.

If you shake the jars directly after sterilization, moisture is distributed better and it looks more homogeneous.

You can use 2 parts dry millet and one part water, sterilize for 60-75 mins and it's pretty damn near perfect. Shake after cycle. It's all I use anymore. A couple if burst grains never hurt nobody.

First that looks like milo/ sorghum.  Second steap grains for 30 mins is to short,2 hours is best for all grain besides corn.

I get my proso millet from the guy that grows it. It’s the green proso and very clean so I just add millet and water to the jar without rinsing.

I am worried that no prep tek won't cook it enough if soaking + pc didn't and it's still hard on the outside. I'll experiment a bit, but i am not sure.
