I'm trying to make pemmican

The meat is taking forever to semi-freeze so I can slice it, I should have put it in the freezer at like.2 or something, its been in an hour and its still too floppy to cut

What type of meat are you using ?

Don't stress yourself too  mcun, just try to take every hour, one hour at a time, and be as present for as many of those hours and as much of the day as you possibly can. You've got everyone and myself cheering you on and behind you 100%, and I mean that-- I'm not just being facetious for the sake of that of hyperbole. Good to see you gopher

Eye of round, about 2 pounds, I didn't realize before I bought it that it will shrink down to like 300g or in would have bought more, so this is. atrial run, I sliced it thin with a deli slicer and put it in a dehydrator, and when its done tomorrow I'll have to dry some blueberries I'm going to use, LLM says I need to cut the berries in half cause blueberries have a waxy skin, and they will take a long time.to dry

And I'm not using rendered suet, I just have a tub of tallow

I over dried my blue berries, i checked them at 20 hours and they still semmed soft, then at 36 hours they STILL seemed soft, so i asked claude LLM and it told me they need to cool down to become hard and they were probly done at the 20 hour mark when i checked the first time

so i coold them on the counter and yes they were rock hard

i only got about 200 or so grams meat, 20 or so grams berries, i forget the exact numbers now cause my memory is shite, but after i powdered the meat, the berries and added a tablespoon of pepper, i had 230g

i spooned tallow on my scale to try and match 230, but i accidently used 260g so i kept that much anyways, i heated the tallow just enough to melt it but keep it as cool as possible so it dosnt fry the meat, then i slowly mixed the tallow in, and poured it into a container and put it in the fridge, it should set in 10 or 20 minutes or so

ill get some pictures when i take it out

I'm making a strawberry one next, I got 30 grams dried so far, and that's my next tray going in, they are getting harder to find now, these ones are spaced way more then my previous trays, so its probably only going to be 4 or 5 grams dried
