I'm using Debian "Trixie" (hooker name this release is awesome) at work and home and I doubt very much Debian will bend the knee to age verification demands in the future.

It's open source anyway, people will just remove unnecessary crap like broadcasting user ID at an OS level. That shit only works on closed source OS's.

If GNOME wants to shoot itself in the foot and add this nonsense Plasma will reign supreme. Trying to make people do stuff like this with Linux will just never work.

I switched from debian to void, at first it was just a test, but 3 days into the test systemd announced its adding an age attestation option and i thought fuck it ill stick with void

the installer dosnt hold your hand as much as debian, I had to look up how to manually partition my disks, it leaves you in the dark if you want to use LVM or LUKS, I think everyone should use LUKS simply to avoid a chroot attack,  I used to think encryption was overboard, till i needed to chroot into my machine once and i was like damn that was too easy lol

For most of the normies out there, an operating system is just a bootloader for Google Chrome.

As long as you have physical access to someone elses machine then that chroot attack could be used yes.

Switched to Manjaro last night. Noticeably faster than OpenSUSE. Pacman is also much quicker than zypper. Happy with the switch so far.
