Confession: Ive lost 4 of 4 tubs spawned on 1/4 and I'm about to go scorched earth on my entire process. Shit was good for a minute and I seem to have cycled into the bullshit again.

Truthfully, the pain is what keeps me going. If I could master this, I'd probably get bored and drop it.

I also just put my new glass plates into service, so ditching the HGs might help me here too.

You know, when I started I had this entire room dedicated to culting. With a tent and a battery of FCs. Then my son was born and for many years I just grew woodlovers and gourmets (outside), with the occasional side project (like a couple of small tamp trays in a small FC with bubbler in summer, or an outdoor cube project). Just another season-bound process, like starting seeds for the vegetable garden, or shoveling out the compost in Spring. It wasn't boring per se, but it wasn't frustrating either.

Then I joined the boards and tried my hand at all these exotics, started growing indoors for the first time in many years, etc.
80% of everything I've started has turned to shit... I actually used to think I was good at this. Hahaha. The first four (!) pan cyan shoeboxes triched out before flush 1, for example. I felt like winning the lottery when no 5 put out a flush before going green. Had like ten swings at wayanadensis and all I got out of it was one abort.

Point being. I didn't quit growing when I thought I mastered the process. It's just too addictive. Then I found out I never mastered the process and everything learned with species x didn't mean jack shit when it came to species y...

The few times I've grown cubes outdoors, I always think "hmm, it's like they're supposed to be out here"

My biggest problem with indoor grows used to be mold (but switching to plain coir pretty much annihilated that). Nowadays it's gnats. Gnats with oysters or cubes was doable, but gnats with exotics is a goddamn heartache.

I must have missed those posts, or interpreted them differently. Everything I saw was, at worst, the ramblings of someone doing too much nitrous.

But I can think of half-a-dozen longtime regulars in my ignore list who are definitely hateful alt-right trolls. I guess they haven't broken any official site rules, though, so yay. They get to keep making this place look horrible.

I confess that I've been daydreaming about starting some puppet accounts, just because of all the ideas I have for user names.

For me, the theme is always aliases or noms-de-plume from arts and literature. B Traven was the pen name for an author whose exact identity has never been officially established, but still pretty much worked out by scholars at this point.
