Liouville theory is quite central to study of conformal field theory and quantum gravity. In the plasma physics world, it is also a way one can derive the 6D Vlasov equation



Perhaps this all has something to do with the famous D=6 N=(2,0) SCFT?

The Harvey Prize is often seen as a future nobel indicator. In 2021 it went to Helen Quinn for her work on Axions and physics beyond the standard model. The original subject matter concerns the strong CP problem but everything from axion modified electrodynamics to gravitation has been raised -> indeed the axion field is pretty much the problem of broken supersymmetry. The next big physics breakthrough probably will be further insight into the "dark side" of the universe and further realization of the power of symmetry (the Harvey prize has not been awarded since 2023 for reasons that may be obvious)

I'm not going to lie a big part of what got me interested in this subject matter was an acid thought "wouldn't it be beautiful if the universe had a spin 3/2 particle", I was thinking like an analog to the perfect 5th in music that is so ubiquitous in nature. To my suprise - it is quite important in theoretical physics

The original literature on the higgs field is pretty explicit that it is time-like, the most generic spin 0 particle is the tachyon. The "superhiggs" mechanism if it exist is expected to be absorbed by the spin 3/2 field. I am aware of the immense difficulty of the problem but I do think it is painfully apparent an explicit mechanism for it is requisite.

The tachyon is actually the orgin of string theory itself, the swampland program and ds/cft holography efforts has discarded the old notion it's merely a mathematical artifact. I think t' Hooft's "ontological" interpretation of QM which is very much motivated by an Einsteinian determinatistic view may fit well on these modern developments

3D Cartesian coordinates are my go to, branes go into extra spatial dimensionality and I think that uneccesarily overcomplicates what's already difficult.

Tachyons are an interesting idea, and I've tried looking through them in this thread at some point where the discussion involved boundary conditions.

The mathematics overlaps heavily with that of multilayer perceptrons, ResNet and what not, which is well known Kontsevich said AI isn't hard lol. The generalizing power of higher dimensional manifolds has already been quite extensively realized in application, In fact there's evidence our brains efficiency comes from exploiting such geometry.

Branes are also essentially the natural consequences of those boundary conditions










It is headspinning indeed, I don't think the complexity can be avoided however

Unfortunately, the authors also calculated that, for many other types of interactions, the LvC is either on par with or even lags behind what the LHC is capable of. Searching for leptoquarks, one of the particles suggested by some Grand Unified Theories, the LvC would be “comparable” to the LHC, but for a search for new heavy vector bosons it wouldn’t even be able to compete with the LHC as is.

As i think about what your saying, it occurs to me that:

When anything spins you get poles, and the tendency  of those poles to 'want' be 'stable' (like a gyroscope).  This stability creates an orientation that resists change.

So I'm imagining these would be like quanta that are being 'stitched' into spacetime. And that if they don't spin, you can't 'align' them; so just chaos, not space.

So 'straight' is alignment from pole to pole, and continued motion in a 'straight' 'line' along aligned quanta requires no energy, but any change in motion requires energy just like it takes energy to push on the pole of a gyroscope.

Am I picturing this right?  (at least the gist of it, you could probably state the idea more clearly)

Thank you, I think that's really good feedback.

I dont actually imagine these as quanta,  or necessarily planck-quantu, I just try to think of curvature as non-a-priori.

Because the 'stitched' part is hard to visualise.

But I am more in tuned with the idea that 'straight' or perfect linearity, is a mathematical ideal representative of torsional harmony, robust as it may be.
