Boiling is a good cheap substitute for a pressure cooker.

I know guys who, in experiments, have had partial success just by being super clean and NO sterilization!

Pick up a real pc at your local thrift store for just a couple bucks. Make sure the seal is ok. It makes it a hell of a lot easier sterilizing your jars, syringes, utensils, you can even cook in it!

ive made 7 1/2 pint jars with a regular verm seal and have had no contams yet. i made 5 1/2 jars using the ramsey seal and all of them got contams (luckily i only innoculated 1 of those.) and i boil for about an hour with tin foil over the top of the jars and a cloth at the bottom of the pot.
