Looks like some pre-US-election jitters as Kamala's betting market odds retrace in a steep way.

The betting markets are imperfect, as they can move rapidly in response to large orders (as an example, a recent huge order put Trump's odds at 99% for a brief moment), and it seems likely that a lot of folks who bought Trump odds when the payout was greater than 1:1, may now be looking to hedge those bets as Kamala's win payout was recently as rich as ~2:1.  In either case, Trump is widely considered more favorable to crypto superficially, however in my view, both candidates have been softening toward crypto and attempting to appease folks concerned about overburdening regulation on the industry.  Thus, I think that regardless of the election outcome, crypto will do will, but that the road in the interim will be bumpy... but seriously, what's new with that?  Volatility in crypto is one of its greatest features, not a bug.

Here are some of the backtest zones we are watching for BTC.

The first zone is breaking now, however if price wicks down into the "platinum pocket" (roughly between the 65-70% fib retracement) and recovers to close higher, the zone could still be considered to hold... however BTC would need to bounce RIGHT NOW and not fall below the current price for that story to play out.  If that doesn't happen, we'll look for the longer term support zone around $65K to hold (which can wick down quickly to ~$63K and consider held if it bounces at that "platinum pocket" level).

Interestingly, there is what some folks consider a "hidden bullish divergence" on the BTC chart occurring now, whereby RSI has made a lower low, but BTC price has yet to do so.

To extrapolate on the above commentary, I strongly suggest anyone interested in some really high quality technical analysis watch this presentation from Rick, a full time trader who shares some of his knowledge with the StockMarketMentor/OptionMarketMentor/CryptoMarketMentor crew (not sure how long it will remain available, as it is part of the paid service, but the information contained in it is very high quality).  The presentation provides valuable guidance with respect to using the golden/platinum fib pockets and looking to demand/supply zones for confluence in trade setups, with a nod toward using RSI in identifying divergence.  Highly recommend for any active or aspiring trader.

Lastly, here are some encouraging historical chart patterns on BTC... :sherlock:

Dogecoin did like 90% last month. I know I'm late but bought a bit at $0.28 CDN a piece last night. I hold 355 dogecoin now worth $100.

Felt ridiculous investing in something called dogecoin but I'm really curious if it will still be a thing when I retire and what it will be worth then.

I am hesitant to put much into it but may up my stash to $500 worth at some point.

Lol LewDoja... the gains are nice and all, didn't much care for the catalyst though! :crazy2: ... impressive moves nevertheless! :yesnod:

We are officially entering the "banana zone" :bananadance:

If things play out as loosely expected, I'm lookin' for $120K+ BTC in 2025 and somewhere in the vicinity of $400-$700 SOL.  On ETH, I've traded out of my personal holdings, but still hold some in a company account as well as an account I manage for my mother.  I'll be looking to trade out of those positions in the event ETH plays "catch up" from its low base and moves back to $4K+.  I would then opt to move those proceeds into SOL and/or BTC, depending how far along in the cycle we appear to be (SOL if I can catch it at a favorable price, BTC for longer term, more conservative exposure).

Sold about a quarter of my JUP (the governance token for Solana's really slick trading platform https://jup.ag) at $1.25 last night.

Welcome back Enkidu!  Keep it clean my man, nice to have you back.

Wow! Yea it really is on fire. Bitcoin at 110k CDN. I bought at 86k a couple weeks ago. I'm up around $1000 CDN overall this month between my crypto and other investments. My doge did 26% since buying yesterday. Never would have imagined this. Having any money is new to me. Fun stuff.

I put a little into crypto each week to use as my vacation fund. If it does well I sell and go somewhere nice, if it does bad I go camping somewhere. It's worked pretty well so far
