on the Gallery and Picture Upload
screen, current settings are 12 thumbnails per page.
is there any way to truncate the thumbnails to allow more per page?

just throwing out a suggestion...

is my suggestion too complex for a reply even?
i know you might be too busy with that oh so  complex task of
fixing peoples avatars so they 'blink' or 'change colors', but you know,
a simple reply to this thread, well, that would be totally,

Can the thumbnails be made smaller and the cells in the table increased? Yes, however, it would not be retroactive, as the thumbnails are generated and saved during the original upload process, and therefor it would make a big mess. Hence, it's not likely to be done.

A less cluttered solution might be to increase the number of rows in the table, but this option would have to be made user selectable, as some of us folks on low-bandwidth do not want to have to wait forever for the thumbnail screens to load.

It would also be up to the writer of the gallery software to make to these changes, and I'm not sure, they would be game for this, as they are busy doing other things.

It is doable for sure, but as Papaver said, it would have to be user selectable in order to not make the load time per one page too long.

On the other hand, you can always organize the pictures into folders so you are able find them faster, so I am not sure if more thumbnails per page is the real answer.

If, just if, how many thumbnails per page would you want to see?

We have developed soemthing for the admins to delete pics at the user's request, but we can't give that kind of access to the users at this time. If you need a pic deleted, then create a "trash" folder, and contact an Admin, and they will delete what's in that folder.

It should slo be noted, that I tried using it the other day, and it didn't exactly work right, which I commented about, so hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Bottom line is use it sparingly and responsibly, as a last resort. :smile:
