initially I tried:

Forum - Off Topic
Username search - Muppet
date range - 1 week
Display all main posts

and it came up as No Matches Found
(which I know damn well wasn't right)






so thenn I just started trying all kinds of different combinations of various usernames/forums/keywords/etc... and after finally stooping to searching all forums for the past year for the word the and comming up with nothing - I finally decided there was definately something wrong here








but you say it's working just fine an dandy for you, eh?  :confused:

do you think maybe my account is just acting screwy...or maybe it might just be a problem with basic users (as opposed to mods/admins/whatever) or is it just another 'glitch' as existance as we know it comes crashing down around us

This is the supposed behavior, searchwords as "the" are ignored, because they exist in almost every post.

But your above problem is not intended to be, we will check into this, thank you for making us aware of this problem.

I did not know that...huh, I guess you do learn something new everyday  :thumbup:






and on a side note - I think maybe it's just my account that's not working the way it should be
(I asked about it over in OTD and it seems to be working just fine for them too)




so it's likely just a permissions 'thing' or something
