email verification when registering

my friend is trying to register an account, but he says that hes not getting the verification e mail. it says "accout registered, you should receieve a verification email in a few minutes." but they never come...

We were having an issue up until about 12-1pm today with emails going out. If the problem was after that then it's getting blocked by spam filters or he has not typed his email correctly.

Hi! I'm his friend, as you might've guessed. Yeah I had first registered a couple evenings ago, then again yesterday. Hadn't tried til' a little bit ago otherwise. Thanks for fixin' it!
