I copied a whole load of terrence mckenna interviews on my cdrw and my player is unable to play more than a small part of each track... some tracks wont play more than 10 minutes and some not more than 5, while checking those files on the computer they are around 1 hour long tracks. First time burning cdrw, anybody experienced this problem?

Yes, all the time. And then there's the ones that go bad (I.E. unreadable) after a period of time. I've lost so much pr0n that way. *sigh*

Yeah, I'm definitely going to transfer what I have left on my CDR's to DVDr's cus I've lost a lot of shit also. Plus then I won't have 5 discs when I only need one or whatever.

try burning the disks at a lower speed... that may help as far as the player is concerned. Also try different media, or just get a shitload of HDs like i did

Ok... so this is a comon problem. Hm. Well, what about dvdr's, can you use those to play off music? I asked a store clerk about this and he said they can only be used to play off dvd movies.
I used samsung cdrw/dvd sm-308b
I'll try to burn at a slower speed.

My DVD RW has the ability to store and read just about any kind of data, that's why I got it - to make back-ups of my critical data, not for movies. Check the software package that came with your DVD, look for updates or free downloads from the manufacturer's site - these may be all you need.

for some reason when I put in some cd-rws in my cd-burner, it won't open the files and the eject button doesn't work, I have to use a pin and manually open the cd player. my cd burner doesn't like that, it starts making wierd noises and goes berserk!
