You're referring to the company. In what I assume is an illegal act -- don't do this -- the coil will theoretically amplify certain frequency bands -- along with lots of white noise. :nono:

They had valiantly fought off the evil virus keeping it at bay up until now for all of this time.  Sucks too bc I guess I had finally gotten used to my hopes being up thanks to Kim fighting the good fight for so long … :goodmorning:

I think old diesel engines will remain in use for a very long time, a lot of them are very durable and easy to work on with minimal equipment. Fuel can be sourced locally and biologically if necessary, and they don't even require electric sparks to run, so little to no need for rare earth elements and other electronic components. I'm talking generators, trucks, tractors, old passenger vehicles, etc.

They're the back-up system used in things like nuclear power plants and other sensitive operations.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them continue to be produced, either, well after we've mostly switched from gas engines to electric.

Same here on the covid thing, I guess I'm kinda in that camp too now that I'm looking at my second booster (fourth total shot) and have probably picked up a couple variants in the past years to boot. The people who have dug their heels in and refused to get vaccinated aren't going anywhere, so neither is covid. I was hoping it would end up like smallpox, but it really looks like we're just gonna end up with another flu. And fuck it, I'm sick of wearing masks and isolating in a country where so many other people never gave a shit that it's all devolved into theater.

Nancy Foster, AHA’s vice president for quality and patient safety policy, said, “We are aware of this global shortage of IV contrast fluid due to production shutdowns in China and have raised this issue with the Administration. While we have been told to expect normal production to resume late next month, hospitals are exploring various conservation strategies including the use of other imaging technologies, using other contrast agents, rationing contrast and ensuring every available drop of contrast dye is used efficiently, and postponing some scans that can be postponed, to give a few examples, in order to continue to provide needed care. The AHA will continue to monitor this situation and provide updates to the hospital and health system field

I think I see a little more coherence in what you post them some people, but I see room for a lot more coherence in what you post than I see in what most shroomerites post. No offense everyone but that's saying quite a bit. I can see you trying harder though. If there's something you believe is really important you should try to learn as much and get as many perspectives on that thing as possible, and if you want to make a point about that thing, you should develop a strategy that includes your own understanding of what's most likely to be understood by others. 99% of strategies that involve successes in complex fields like medicine are informed by an enormous amount of experience and exposure to the ideas of others. It is true that some people with credentials are charlatans and some people without them have something worth saying. But it's also true that increasing your exposure to the ideas of the credentialed makes you more likely to get at the truth for yourself, and transmit it to others in any moment


I love playing with language but the truth... doesn't play.

If you have something to say, and you really want it to be heard, there are concrete ways you can make that more likely.

even if all this sensationalist crap has some truth in it the WHO doesn't have a military so any interventions that it does can't be very threatening. In my experience true stories tend to get picked up very quickly by Major news outlets. This one literally has some religious text as the subheader
