The number of copies is set by the length of the poly A tail at the end end of the RNA strand. After the RNA is transcribed, the tail is shortened by one codon. When the tail is gone, the rna stand is destroyed.

This is basic mRNA operation and mRNA does not exist very long.

The virus contains code that instructs a cell to make molecular machinery that allows it to self replicate. Once inside the cell, the virus makes spike proteins until the cell dies or is destroyed. When an infected cell dies, it will release all the viral proteins it was making. Thousands of spike proteins get released into the body.

The vaccine makes one or two proteins per mRNA stand

Someone who has taken the vaccine and boosters can still be infected and spread it to others. 

You will not say that they are testing positive for the very same protein that they have been programmed to grow.
