Are you or anyone here honestly surprised at this point? After I got covid which turned out to be decently bad( took me out for like 6 days, and then slow recovery for like a week or more- and still have lingering issues) because a co-worker came in sick, that was the last straw for humanity for me.


This entire covid  thing has revealed the true nature of humanity and the selfishness of a large portion of the human race.


I mean, during the first week, when toilet paper got bought up, we should have known this was going to be a shitshow- an all for oneself mentality.


For those people who did the right thing I commend you, but probably at least a third of the worlds humans didn't give AF and did really uncool stuff like go into work knowing they were infected :picard:

I agree with this, just not exclusively for Covid.

Oh no, that's correct, it's just a modern example of my point that lots of humans don't give AF about anyone except themselves.

I'm not saying I haven't been selfish too at times, but this covid thing was the last straw for me for humanity, in the fact that I actually lost hope for most people. I had no idea this(last two years) would be the reaction of us as a whole species. 

I guess I was just sheltered and Jaded about how reality really is and my perception of it.

Stereotypically, none of the shrill activists, who want to put everybody on restriction, were in any position to hire. You don't own any of the means of production, so have nothing to bring to the table.

Another spike popping up here, we re-opened our Covid unit last week. My wife and I partied pretty hard last week and now she's testing positive and has some mild symptoms, I'm testing negative but have a little fatigue and a headache, we'll see if it progresses. We're not distancing from each other or anything. Was supposed to start a new per diem job tomorrow, not a great first impression but :shrug2:

I was hoping we'd get at least until the summer before the next wave hit, 3 relatives of mine have it too. It definitely seems more like a trickle now than the tsunami it was the last few waves, hopefully that's the theme for awhile now that most people have some immunity.

The main thing I noticed having it was extreme fatigue the first day. I was so tired. Every simple little movement was very tiring. I'm totally fine now though.
