The real problem with Koods taking such a sanctimonious tone is that he doesn't even really know what he's talking about most of the time.  The only real difference between him and somebody spreading anti-vax bullshit on facebook is that he wants to look cool in front of a different crowd.

You just can’t handle not being the biggest know-it-all in the room

I guess Koods is just getting a little bit koo-koo, from sitting inside 24/7 for the last 2 years. You can come outside now, gramps!

I'm sure that the syncros helped.  That's a way simpler system with way less kinetic energy behind it.

Aside from the fact that most of the semi fleet in the world runs automatic transmissions, rev matching is not hard.  Sure synchromesh makes it braindead, but c'mon it's still pretty fucking simple.  Don't try to put it in gear when the engine is spinning at 1300rpm and the transmission is at 3k, just blip the gas.

I impressed cannabinated with my ability to shift gears in his dads Fiat convertible without using the clutch.

After visiting the art museum and catching a ball game we went back to his dads house and he killed the car

Back in high school my friend Manish’s dad had a red stick shift Porsche 911 that he couldn’t drive so he’d get me to drive it when we skipped school and cruised the county.

Pretty sure the "lol the anti vax dieds" script comes ultimately from the Russian threat, just like the far right's marching orders. The old school KGB playbook was to play all sides off each other to sow chaos. Around the time Twitter hit the scene, those tactics started working a lot more effectively against the West.

Not that China doesn't do the troll and bot army thing too but they don't seem to do it with as much finesse.

True story. When I was 15 me and my friend “borrowed” his sister’s Peugeot Le Car to do my paper route, and he jammed the gears trying to get into reverse and ruined the transmission.

I had an early mazdaspeed 3, those things came with a damn indestructible manual.  Much flat shifting was done (shift without lifting off the gas).  Probably the strongest clutch/transmission combo for the hp I've had the fortune to drive

I never bothered to learn how to drive a manual, but I'll never understand how some guys genuinely never figure out how to make women bust a nut. Other than the gay ones obv. I bet even a lot of them figured it out though

trans gay guys also exist, so while we havent learned how to make a woman bust a nut, a lot of us have figured out how to operate that kind of equipment as well. well, other than the gays that were in the closet at first then came out afterward. some of those actually did learn how to interact with the opposite sex, and... look, life gets complicated, OK!?!

Then why do I still see SWIFT trucks dancing in gridlocked traffic?

Either way, the point is more that the fact that you don't have to go beating your head against certain concepts in higher mathematics doesn't mean that blue-collar work takes zero skill or that it's work for brain-dead idiots.  I'm kind of shocked that Koods's high horse hasn't just buckled under his ego.  Seeing him interact with other people really makes regret the fact that we even agree on anything in the first place.
