Koods, your continuing rhetoric (apparently) intended to ostracize (shame?) anyone with (allegedly*) anti-vax sentiments seems strategically unwise.

No matter how well your and anyone's' analyses explain the current state of affairs and attempt to simplify socially responsible behavior for everyone - how succinctly you capture what is important and legitimate among the enormous quantities of data being created and released by hard working, obsessive truth seekers across the globe, or how much more consistently accurate your personal predictions turn out to have been than those of anyone else drifting through this thread during a moment in which it became psychologically convenient for them - if they undermine the ability of other well intended Actors also trying to nudge (former and potential future) others back onto the Path, in their own way- how acceptable should that be?


Your tendency to say things that you know will undermine the potency of whatever you go on to say is frustrating, but it's less frustrating than dealing with people who still take an anti-vax position during the course of argumentation just because it makes their lives a little more interesting and inflates the sense of potential importance they feel during those moments. I do it, too, in a more passive way that makes it a lot harder for people to quote me later on and/or out of context to make me look like a psychopath.  This paragraph in itself is an example of me doing it.


* You can spot the trolls when you turn up the heat without giving them more fuel to burn.

I get what you’re saying, but on the other hand, antivaxxers are selfish and deluded losers who don’t actually deserve any respect for their irrational beliefs. (Beliefs that are killing 10,000+ people a week)

I am used to working with people who seem hell bent on self destruction. People who continue to do the most seemingly idiotic things with the best of intentions over and over until it is Over.  Repeated infections and amputations from diabetes. Constant heart failure exacerbations and "low grade attacks". Liver failure. Kidney failure. HIV/AIDS


I try to have compassion for all of them. Usually I succeed pretty easily.

Don't try my patience, though. I have a lot of go around, but I have boundaries, too.

When I drove a truck at UPS I had to train a guy one day because he kept having trouble shifting gears. I really don’t get people who can’t coordinate their hands and feet to shift without grinding. It’s really not that hard.


I'm sure that the syncros helped.  That's a way simpler system with way less kinetic energy behind it.

The real problem with Koods taking such a sanctimonious tone is that he doesn't even really know what he's talking about most of the time.  The only real difference between him and somebody spreading anti-vax bullshit on facebook is that he wants to look cool in front of a different crowd.
