Edit: I actually did have cns problems with weird pain but I recovered fast and have not had any problems since.


Editx2: water is my main source of fluid and I stretch daily plus exercise a handful of days per week.

Not to mention what infection does to the immune system. Sars cov2 kills T-cells, just like HIV does. How many times can you get infected with the virus before you become so immunocompromised you start getting aids like symptoms?

I feel lacking when not working under the sun frequently close to a month now. I want to be all nude under the rays.

Yes, various groups are at risk of being vitamin D deficient. That doesn't change the fact that those who are already most likely to die from COVID are also vitamin D deficient.

It's literally an example in clinical research methods textbooks called the "the vitamin D effect". If you parse the data for outcomes in any disease you can spin it to make it look like vitamin D is a miracle cure, because those experiencing the worst outcomes will be vitamin D deficient. Those who are already in the poorest health are the least likely to experience consistent sunlight, and the younger age groups listed in that study (children, adolescents, pregnant women) won't figure into the relevant disease data in large enough numbers to significantly effect the outcome because they're already unlikely (even if severely vitamin D deficient) to experience severe disease or hospitalization.

Similar to how statistically boating accidents sky rocket when the ice cream shops start dishing out more ice cream. It's not that people are so distracted by licking their rocky road that they forget how to drive a boat, it's just summer time.

Just for perspective, I 've quoted studies in the past that show supplementing vitamin D actually correlating to increased mortality with COVID:

Huge, I was at the point beyond deficiency.  Had so low, the put me on 5 weeks of VitD3 50k IU per week.  It barely budged my number so they did 8 weeks.  Ended up in ER cause it caused a kidney stone :rofl2: Fuck that shit hurt so bad.

The science often paints a fairly clear picture if you look at it objectively and spend a lot of time with the data. Unfortunately more often than not the conclusion is rather inconclusive: "further research is needed"... which doesn't generate a whole lot of clicks/retweets/citations/podcast appearances etc
