Some photos from my recent trip to the mountains. I'm fairly certain these are not edible or active. I'm just curious about what I'm seeing.

Habitat:
Pine forest on the ground.

Gills:
Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.
White, not sure if attached.

Stem:
Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.
About 40-60 mm long, 15-25 mm dia, white, smooth. Not sure if hollow.

Cap:
Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.
About 100-150 mm dia, grey, a little dry, convex and asymmetrical.

Spore print color:
None taken. Photo only.

Bruising:
Didn't handle it so no bruising.

Maybe Tricholoma, it would help to see the gills.

Having looked at some images it very well could be. I don't unfortunately have any other pictures. It's entirely plausible that it's a tricholoma terreum. They're apparently edible so I may have a closer look next time I'm out. Thanks for the info.

These are under pine trees which means the pool of possibilities is mostly reduced to exotic taxa.

We've been calling these Tricholoma terreum in Tasmania, but nobody has done any sequencing on them to confirm, AFAIK.
