I think the last thing I read said a larger % of the black population was unvaccinated, but by far the largest raw number was young to middle age white people, and that was heavily weighted towards conservatives and lower income. I don't remember the source though, and I'm not entirely sure of the details.

Vaccination rates are pretty similar across all races, but whites are losing ground.

I think it works like this

The left chart indicates the total of people who received 1 shot. So 60% of total shots were given to white people. The right chart shows how the population is build up, so 61% of US population is white.


The black population contributes 10% of total first vaccine shots, whilst making up 12% of the population.


This would indicate the vaccination level among blacks is lower than it is among whites.

But, because the white population is a lot larger than the black population, absolute numbers for unvaccinated people are undoubtely higher amongst whites


The middle graph shows that blacks and hispanics have been making a comeback in terms in getting the vaccine, as the numbers for the last two weeks are higher than you would expect based on their population percentages


This is based on data for only 59% of the people who received a vaccin.

Covid has shown to me how little the general population cares for each other.

How close to a barbaric society are we? Is this really the age of information or is it the age of disinformation now?

Disinformation campaigns are everywhere... and god... look how effective it is against the stupid masses. Fascists' republican conservatives trying to kill the voting rights of Americans all over America and they have been successful in many states like my own home state, Texas.

Look at how they've fucking politized masks... look how they've done it to the vaccine. These republicans are fucking monsters... I am so glad I don't have a kid right now, because Texas currently has banned mask mandates. Fuck Abbott. Fuck Perry. Fuck the current GOP. Fuck anyone who supports the current GOP.

We've been letting domestic terrorists run our GVT here.... Texan politicians are nut cases who can't tell right from left unless there's a big fat check from big energy(oil/gas)/big pharma

I promise I'm gonna do everything I can do to help turn Texas blue... and if we can't in this next election, I'm fucking OUT....

The better things get for gays, women, minorities, transgender, non-religious and other-religioned people, (basically anyone who isn't a middle-aged white Christian male) the more oppressed they feel.

My kids both had it. My 8 year old had zero symptoms. My 5 year old had a bit of raised temperature for a day and coughed three times


Please explain the risk/benefits in your scenario

98% of polio cases are asymptomatic and the fatality rate is 0.15%

It’s honestly hard to take anyone seriously if you’re still calling this an experimental vaccine.

The virus is about three months older than the vaccine. Why would you let your children be exposed to an experimental virus.

Do you have a medical degree? If you do, feel free to explain how it got full FDA approval. Pfizer vaccine is far from experimental at this point.

Not sure when/where that figure is from or what it shows exactly, but it doesn't look like the delta variant demographic, and I doubt that vertical axis is "suffering".  Pediatric cases are exploding and kids do suffer directly from the virus, and some die. Idiots not getting vaccinated also disrupts the social structures that kids depend on for healthy development, so hopefully you can find a figure to misrepresent that too. The only thing that's valid in your post is that you are as willing to disregard your kids safety as you are to disregard the safety of other people's kids.

Damn. A friend of mine's mom is a head nurse at a local hospital. She's taking a week off because she's stressed out and scared. She said the hospital beds are full of people with covid...nearly all of the patients coming in are vaccinated, and a few have died. She thought the shot would protect her, but now she's freaked out and questioning a lot of things.

its just gonna be a virus we have to get frequent boosters for. I am getting mine ASAP. for what it's worth though, most of the people getting hospitalized here are either young and not vaccinated or very old and probably already whatever immunity the vaccine had conferred

it didnt have to turn out this way
