Love the lyrics.  Next Friday didn't have the rent, and out the backdoor I went.  Different times.  She will learn that.  Tough love by mom and then experience the real world.

Yeah.  But I get it.  Different times.  Alcohol solves a lot and in my 45 years.  And that was before my time, I get it to my extent.  Just like Tom Waits and Pink Floyd and Led Zep.

And my rent is paid, bills are paid, so in the now, 5/11/2021, going on Covid year two with this world. 

Life is fucking great.  I still relate to this guy.  Whatever.  It is music.  I relate to a lot of it from a long time ago.  I owe it to ancient times.  My soul is forever his.  I owe it to this song of making my rent on time nowadays.
