Official Breakfast Mega-Thread * 2

Let's talk Breakfast. Anything breakfast goes, including coffee, the official drink of breakfast.

What do you think about it?

Do you eat it and what do you have?

What is the best breakfast?

Ever have breakfast for dinner?

Coffee and oatmeal with cream most days. Once a week or so I bust out 2 eggs, sausage or bacon, crossants with creamcheese, hashbrown and maybe beans. I dont like breakfast for dinner most times. It reminds me of working 14 hour days and trying to get a hot plate in you before going to bed, but lately I can do it once and a while.

Tomorrow is a big breakfast day! I'm amp'd.

I usually have an iced mocha and a pastry. This place by me makes the best coffee and best coffee cake. The coffee cake is unlike anything I've ever had. Almost always on the go go go in the morning. Never really had a sit down a talk about the day breakfast.

I'm also into french toast if someone is making it for me. I could do without pancakes.

Not really into a huge lumberjack type breakfast feast. Unless I've been back-packing in the woods for multiple days or after a big festival. Then it rules!

How do you make your bacon?

I always thought a frying pan was the only way and then recently found out people bake it and some  put it into an air fryer. I'm a frying pan guy. Crispy but also soft and chewy in all the right parts!

For breakfast I like to take some supplements (caffeine, ltheanine, etc) and maybe a protein shake or something small

Oven bake the bacon, but you must drain it and flip it when it's half way done, I like mine extra crispy. This cuts down immensely on the bacon grease and smell that coats your cabinets/kitchen. I make "taquitos"- sausage, eggs, salsa and american chesse rolled into a flour tortilla. Sometimes just oatmeal w/butter, some milk or cream and sugar, malt o meal, fruit, OJ, toast w/butter and jelly, coffee, milk, cereals of all kinds, omelettes of all kinds, it depends on my mood and how much time I have when I get up. Mainly cereal and taquitos, oh and sometimes egg, sausage or bacon, and cheese on toast or croissant like a sandwich, a light layer of real mayo on both sides is a must.

Monday through Friday is muesli with honey, raspberries or blueberries and oat/almond milf.  Always coffee and my supplements: magnesium, turmeric and lion's mane.  I do physical labor and this keeps me going untl lunch, I'll smash a non-dairy yogurt if the boss aint lookin'

Sunday is a bloody Mary with Titos, V8, A1, bacon, pickles, celery and a beer chaser.  Usually something brunchy to go with it.  Most likely at a tavern or saloon.

If I've been up all night partying then it's champagne and OJ.... and hard liquor.

Saturday is beet powder and usually McDs 2-4-2 bacon muffin or biscuit and hashbrowns after hitting the gym.

I like to make my own breakfast sammiches with cheese, bacon, eggs, hashbrown and tonnes of Sirachi.  These are called Degenerate Sammiches.  If lts on a brioche bun with sheep's cheese and garlic aoli then it's called a Sophisticated Degenerate.  They can be eaten at any time of the day.

Pickled soft-boiled eggs are also acceptable at any hour.

I usually just have a piece of bread with some cold cuts, cheeses and dry mustard sauce.
I'm trying to go for a calorie deficit after I've eaten like a pig all winter.
Will probably alternate between this and oat porridge with desiccated coconut.

If I start going to the gym, I'll start eating eggs, lightly fried and some fibers like a multi-seed bun.

Coffee or tea, never sweetened, sometimes with skimmed milk.

Corn Pops is pretty Okay.

I'm into Honey Bunches and for more sugary cereal I like...
CTC, Golden Grahams, Pebbles, and Rice Krispie Treat Cereal

========================

I've never had a pickled egg. Is it like a pickled cucumber or totally  it's own deal?

Now, I'm really in the mood for some french toast made with moist blueberry bread or maybe some banana bread. Yummy! It's almost breakfast time for me.

PICKLED SOFT BOILED EGGS?! That does NOT sound like breakfast food... YUCK! (though I reluctantly confess I actually have never had one).

The family has gotten into a habit of going to the local coffee shop joint and getting these simple yet delicious little breakfast Sammies with croissant, sausage patty, an egg and a slice of cheese. And they're $4 a piece, so yum! When home, we often just skip breakfast or eat a piece of fruit.

Sweet stuff should not be in breakfast. No wonder we're all fat... Fuck many, Cream cheese waffles and syrup and shit is a recipe for diabetes, not breakfast! Though I admit, before our household banished cereal forever (it's too damn good. I was getting fat from it being too dang easy to just eat two bowls any time day or night), I loved Honey Bunches of Oats.

WTF I didn't even see this thread until after I just made my nostalgic breakfast cereals thread.

Breakfast rules! Two cups black coffee then the first half of breakfast, workout, second half of breakfast. On Sunday I break that routine and just do whatever the fuck I want,

lately I restarted intermittent fasting, but before I restarted I lost my taste for black coffee, so I have been cheating and putting 2 TBSP of 35% whipping cream in my coffee for breakfast, 0g carbs but lots of fat (which shouldnt trigger insulin) but a whopping 100 calories per coffee

but yesterday when grocery shopping I decided I couldnt afford whipping cream anymore, so I got 10% half & half ($3 vs $8 per litre), its got 1g of carbs per TBSP (1g sugar :frown: ), but only 40 calories for the 2 TBSP

For breakfast I like coffee with a side of coffee. If I'm feeling adventurous I'll have some more coffee

My coffee is always black... unless it's really bitter, then a little almond milf, unsweetened of course.

If I have been eating LSD the previous evening then ketamine is a perfectly acceptable breakfast option.

Re: Pickled eggs.  I just hard boil, 8 minutes is perfect IMO.  Whites are cooked and yolk is gelly.  Peel and toss into a pickle jar with remaining juice.  You can make a special brine but it isn't required.  They should cure for 3 days for best results.

I always drank black coffee too, but nowadays I can't really drink it anymore unless I'm very exhausted in the morning.
I found that rooibos tea and other herbal teas are much more enjoyable.
Yesterday I had echinacea tea and it was quite fantastic.
Also much more healthier for the gut stomach and teeth than the acidic coffee.. I think I'll only have coffee for my Tampanensis grain jars for a while.
