The Pub is still great and is still the place to go.  There are a new crop of great posters, such as yourself.  The energy is just a lot different.  Flaming is apparently allowed in The Pub now.  Back then, it was strictly forbidden.  You couldn't be overtly negative toward someone.  This place was kind of a sanctuary that you could go to to get away from negativity.  You could be a lot more open.  If you were tripping, you could come here and expect nothing but good vibes.  It's still like that to an extent, but there's a lot of subtle negativity mixed with heavy sarcasm from certain people.  Sometimes I wonder if today we could still have threads like the "THUMBPRINT" thread, etc.  Or would some kid tell Chinacat he was a fag or something?  I don't know.  All I know is that you did say that now, you could get away with it. 

I still love it though.  The Pub is the place to be.  It's just different.
