And for the record Phish has covered like 4 Dead songs ever. So this big deal of them being a Dead cover band is way over exagerated.

I always knew they were not a cover band, just a jam band that many of the younger heads were into. I checked out Widespread Panic and just loved their style for the same reason.

Alot of people seem to think that they started off as a Dead cover band, which is true some what.  They did cover Dead songs and probably played ALOT of them in there own time but the same went for alot of their influences.  They have always had their own material from the beginning.

They come from a far differnet territory than Phish, Phish seems to miss soul in thier singing.

the trey anastasio band is awesome, if you liked what you heard you should get their CD plasma, that cd is is awesome.

Yeah me too- WSP is so awesome....I have been listening to them since I was a kid! Once I got arrested at one of their shows for being underage....LOL I fought the cops like a madwoman, didn't want to miss the show!  That was totally lame though, the cops in Jackson hole have nothing to do.  :sad:

yeah i got 7/15/03 on my comp.

i've been getting into walls of the cave a lot, and pebbles and marbles, those songs are awesome. They are my favorite off of round room.

IMO their albums are all really good. I would recommend "another joyous occasion" or "till the medicine takes". Also their first one, "space wrangler", is a must have. Copy them from a friend, you won't be sorry. :smile:

that walls ofthe cave is great, same with pebbles and marbles... I love how they start ac/dc bag...trey is just doing some cool stuff with his guitar and they just pops into the ac/dc bag guitar lick or whatever, i love it.
