These razors sound great in concept, so I considered it a while back, but I ultimately decided against it, because I'm not the type that indulges in his get-ready routine. When I wash my face and brush my teeth, I'm zoned out, and it's just something I do out of necessity. A razor like this seems like it's for people who really take pride in their get-ready routine and approach it like a romantic ritual. When I'm shaving, I just wanna shave like an unthinking zombie. I don't wanna have to pay attention for fear of nicking myself.

I thought everyone realized the cheapest shave is a safety razor and blades? One of those with like 5 years of blades is less than like $20.

I got my gillette goal blades in the mail today, and it came with this as a freebie

I tried using it but I nicked myself a couple times and was missing spots so I finished with my normal razor, my face feels super raw where I used it, definitely a new skill I probably dont wannna learn

I want a single edge/ razor.  I never see them in stores though.  I remember my great grandfather used one, and my grandfathers for a long time until multiblades with guards were common and cheap.

They had the best shaved faces... they don’t come like that anymore these days... :nonono:  :snub:  :nono:

A DE shaver has a single edge on each side. And yes they give the best shaves short of a straight razor.

I've used an electric buzzer for years now. It cost about $30.
I don't even use razors.
I have zero physical waste using the same electric buzzer for years.

Cartridge razors are for inmates of psychiatric and prison facilities.

Ewww I cant be trusted with a blade and dont want to acquire a skill but rather pay Gilette top dollar to make the most moronic multiblade monstrosities.

Be a man.

Here's my kit:

Merkur 34C HD razor
Derby Extra blades
Proraso shaving cream
Taylor of Old Bond Street aftershave.

Are y'all using the same razor over and over forever?
If not, why don't y'all just use an electric buzzer so you don't have to throw away razors?

I discovered safety razors a few years ago. It's a Razorock I think. It has a slanted blade which is cool as well. I like feather blades i ordered online, bit I have not tried many others, other than the cheap ones you occasionally find in a shaving section at target.

I was never a fan of electric razors or shaving for that matter. Takking the time to shave with a nice razor is relaxing for me. Also the blades are dirt cheap. I bought a case of 100 for 20 bucks.

Fair enough.  Are the blades recyclable?

I'm not sure if they are. It's a bit of a hazardous material problem with people nicking themselves all the time. A box of 5 or 10 blades is the size of a book or matches though.
