Guinness Extra Stout

So what's up with this stuff? What makes it extra? Does it have more alcohol than regular stout or is it just more full bodied? I just picked up a six pack of the stuff and it's yummy.

Wow thanks Adom. I was wondering if you pubbers would be able to answer my question. I did notice that it was stronger in taste, higher in carbonation and the buzz was more evident. I actually prefer normal Guinness though because I can drink it like water. I had to take my time with this stuff.

I like bitter beer and prefer the texture of the Extra. Sierra Nevada Stout is a bit better than the Guinness in my opinion.

Guinness is still damn good.

Yes I've had the porter, very good. I saw the porter on tap some place a while back. It was surprising.
