Let me tell you about the I Ching.
This morning I got:
Quote:
Hexagram 26-2
--- - - - - --- --- 9 ---
9 at 2: The carriage loses the axle-strap. Even mishap can be a valuable part of your life. Except of course if you only see it as a cause for irritation or anger. Accept it as part of reality, or as a challenge which can make life more interesting, or as an unexpected moment of rest. As a cause for fun, for play or a break out of a rut.
So I think: Chinese new year, what a day for a swim!
I get on my bicycle halfway through town
The carriage loses the axle-strap.
My bicycle pedal axle - SNAPS
I get to haul 365lbs and a broken bicycle halfway through town to repaoir it pondering the I Ching

And the thing is..
This morning my Spirit Guide said: "Today is not a good day to swim" I went: "the Year of the Rat is about TAKING INITIATIVE, I overrule you!" Said he: "Ok, but then you pick up the tab for it, ok?"
I went "OK!"
On my bicycle he says out of nowhere as we pass the bicycle shop "Picture new pedals in a new year!"
Me: "Picture me swimming like a God in a minute."
(...)
SNAP!
"I fought the Law and the Law won"
Actually now that my back no longer hurts, its hilarious
