I got rid of some cavities myself!

Last time I went to the dentist, I supposedly had 6 or so minor cavities.

As of late, I decided to get rid of my own cavities by taking a thumbtack, bending the tip a little bit, and then scraping the cavities out myself. So far, I have been quite successful.

Comments anyone?

Not at all. They are very superficial cavities. To find out if you have a cavity, take a pointy object (like my thumbtack, which I sterilized beforehand) and poke the suspected cavity. If it has a sticky feel, then it's a cavity. I had one on the side of my molar which I scraped out quickly, and now theres somewhat of a very small hole  :wtf:

if you dont have any way of filling that hole though - it's just gonna get worse
(hence all that damned filling dentists always use)

I just stick to brushing my 32 teeth 2 times daily, w/ Listerine instead..  :wink:

I remember reading long ago, that one could get a set of titanium teeth for some large sum of money.. Terminator Teeth. That's pretty badass.

Maybe it will get worse but at least I got the satisfaction of showing those cavities who's boss (for now).

man, you only made your cavities  bigger and more capable of collecting food that will further rot your teeth.  go get those things filled now, unless you want to do that yourself with some putty from home depot :grin:

I have a dentist appointment next week.  I haven't been to the dentist in about 3 or 4 years. :shiftyeyes:  What is it about dentists that are so scary?  Is it the mask?  The skull-penetrating light that shines down on you?  All those strange, sharp little tools they have?  :shiftyeyes:

I pulled one of my own... I had tools but was a couple hundred miles from the nearest dentist... it bothered me... a lot
