Rule #1: Educate
The areas that have the highest number of youth hunters, participants in hunter/gun safety courses required to get hunting tags are the areas that have the least gun violence.

An armed population has a chance. If the grocery stores stopped stocking shelves this week due to extreme emergency could you really live off the land or would you be dead/begging to get with a group that knows how to very quickly.

Not to mention hunters and fisherman pay for the majority of Department of Natural Resource Funding that keeps wildlife as best balanced as they can while we over-develop this rock like cancer. Here hunters and fisherman pay for over 90% of the State's budget.

And the Northern half of Colorado is filled with walking contradictions that label themselves as liberal "earth lovers" then develop the shit out of the place with their yuppie money. Contribute nothing to assisting the Natural Resources Departments, destroy delicate ecosystems, migration routes that have always existed then go out during hunting season and literally fuck with hunters. The ones who study all the numbers/patterns to maintain the balance for each species and also pay for nearly all of it. The ones who regulate so that humans don't completely ruin their cycles. Instead of chess they want to play jump to conclusions.

More things like gun ownership and voting need to be done by how high your IQ is. A dumb person shouldn't have more than a BB gun and their vote should be half of smart persons. Dumb people also shouldn't be allowed to procreate or drive during rush hour.

What about don't shoot at noises you hear in your house at night because it is always a family member and never some intruder? Residential break ins almost always happen in the day so living in fear that an ethnic minority is going to break in and rape your white wife with his large and possibly uncircumsized penis is a fear you just need to get over. Its not going to happen and the black kid you shoot in the hallway will be your daughters secret boyfriend that she is using to rebel against you.

Excellent post O_Dweeds.

- Never have any body parts to the side ov a revolver(specifically next to the front ov the cylinder)  when firing it.
- Avoid slide bite or hammer bite with proper grip technique.
- Always make sure to use the proper ammo.  Sounds obvious but wrong caliber mishaps are actually quite common.  A example would be accidentally loading .300 blackout into a .223 gun.  Also avoid using +p ammo in older guns not designed for it.
- Rotate carry ammo.  Especially for those who repeatedly chamber the same ammo in autoloading pistols.  The bullets can get setback which will cause a pressure spike and potential kaboom.  On the flip side, old ammo can get wet and not fire when needed to.
- Eye and ear protection when target shooting!
- Never shoot steel at a 90 degree angle.

Oh yes, a lot ov NDs occur when cleaning.

- Chamber check before cleaning!
- Use an appropriate holster designed for the gun you have.  Most NDs occur while either cleaning or re-holstering a loaded gun into a wrong or needlessly fancy holster.

We had a school shooting in HS. Literally the only guns brought in were the SWAT team (some kid called it in for "fun") and one of the dumb asses not only dropped his assault rifle, but it actually went off. Blew a hole in the floor.

Paid Leave. Literally rewarded with paid vacation for shooting a gun in school.

No need to be an asshole, but I guess your shitty life might have you in a shitty mood. Keep it to yourself though and off of the Shroomery please. Sounds like you scored low on the test too. You don't even use proper punctuation, spelling, or capitalization. Did you get your GED? Do you have a college degree? Where did I say it was a bible and what is your solution.

Obviously it wouldn't be an IQ test off the internet and it would have to be reworked. I think it would go in levels like the following, but keep in mind that I haven't completely thought out a plan and just made this part up to give you an idea of how it might go.

The first part of the test is basically reading comprehension, math, and just general knowledge. If you pass that you get 1/2 a vote.

The second part would be a wide range of questions starting from elementary and going to questions from a Master's Degree college exam. This section could get you like 1/2 a vote up to 2 votes depending on test scores.

The third part is strictly about the constitution and how the government works and is specific to it's processes and programs. Maybe even other major countries too. The people who pass this get like half a vote or maybe they're the only type of people allowed to vote on that stuff?
